Very happy with this, looks exactly the type of striker Bonner likes. Looked very good against us last August, hopefully a run in the team will get him firing again! At 6”3 he should be a big threat from set pieces, couple that with the signing of Danny Andrew’s I can see us scoring a fair few!

And it's alright now, in fact it's a Gas. Yeah it's alright- Jumping Jack Flash to the Gas, Gas Gas.
This does rather rely on giving Jack Lankester the nickname 'Jumping Jack Flash', in which case he'd probably need to jump a lot. He's definitely a Jack Flash', though.

Great signing. He caused us all sorts of problems in the home game vs Burton.

Very pleased with this signing. Watching that 4-3 again, I now remember thinking at the time that he was a big problem for us.

Pleased with this as from what I saw from him in the Burton game, he looked a useful player at this level. Another Strang/Bonner type signing with something to prove and start an upward curve. Ipswich could be a good source of talented players for this level as I imagine they will spend big for Championship quality players. Couple of good solid L1 quality guys with Ahadme and Andrew. Well that’s the A’s signed up, now we move on to the B’s 😂

Two pages and no negativity?? What’s going on?? It's rare to get such widespread agreement on here, but if anyone watched that 4-3 and didn't come away thinking he was "a handful" is an equally rare breed.

Good use of the loan market and solid piece of business. Hopefully will give us some more threat upfront.

Burton fans haven't given glowing reviews about his loan there but he barely played so not really a lot to go on. A handful is a plus and the type we seem to go for. I'd rather permanent signings at this stage of the window but if it's what it took to get him here then fair enough. Look forward to not seeing any preseason games and hearing he's an absolute donkey.

We need someone rapid to play alongside him in a 'Gassan Electric' partnership.

Two pages and no negativity?? What’s going on?? Typical of this club to show such a lack of ambition in the transfer market. Clearly not considered good enough by Ipswich or even bloody Burton, plus developing another club’s youngsters for them when we should be signing proven quality and supplementing that with our own kids.

Clearly not considered good enough by Ipswich or even bloody Burton, plus developing another club’s youngsters for them when we should be signing proven quality and supplementing that with our own kids. I think that’s sarcasm. But I’m not too sure! It's actually irony. EDIT: Just in case anyone's interested, I used to work at the University Library when Alanis Morisette's song came out, so I was in the perfect place to find out what irony actually was, because I wasn't sure. I found a book all about it and found out that the concept was first used in the debates of ancient Rome. It was a spoken statement, the meaning of which was completely opposite to the literal meaning of the words that were said, understandable to only some of the listeners who understood the context. The post quoted is a perfect example. Irony is damn close to sarcasm but sarcasm is much less complex, usually involves exaggeration and tends to come with a tone of voice (impossible to get across in writing!) that makes it obvious. That's how I understand it, anyway.
