 Another alternative for the Habbin stand. This is probably around 6,000 but could be reduced to suit the space available, maybe 4,000. It would also get over the problem of the site thinning at one end and at least retain some character to the overall stadium instead of square shaped modules. That does look nice but surely impossible due to the width(depth?} of the site at the road end of the common. |

Right!  click to ENBIGGEN I had to change the angles of the adverts to put them on the upper boards. Not easy with MS Paint. |

It's a bit circus maximus thumbs up or down from the gallery. However if they will pay silly money they can have the silly ego trip.

No idea how to put pictures on here but for the Habbin a tight terraced stand close to the pitch, not too deep but all the way along the pitch then the NRE something like QPRs or Brentfords with seats up top if need be
Not some anonymous, identikit seated stand like Burtons or Fleetwoods.
We can do better.

The more I think about it, I genuinely don't think that the club would risk potentially alienating a chunk of supporters. We'd be alienating a huge chunk of potential support by not providing more seating (families and corporate). I'm often surprised that anyone over 40 is that attached to standing too 🤔 Seats along the side of the pitch is absolutely the norm in pro football. You need to go down to tinpot levels to regularly find standing areas length wise. The New NRE™ sounds like it will be an excellent standing area for yoof to create an atmosphere. Maybe displaced Old Habbinites will make the western corner their own? My view is that the charms of the existing Habbin must be sacrificed for the greater good. (And a new Habbin terrace just wouldn't be the same surely?) |

I don't think I'd want a curved roof for the habbin. It's just not very Cambridge is it? Give me angles or give me death.

I'm not sure how you could fit a 3000 capacity seated stand into the land available on the Habbin side. There is virtually no space to extend backwards at the northern end of the site. So 5 or 6 rows up to half way then double decker it on the other half? But then that would leave no room at the back for access. If you can work out the access issue then 2 possible solutions could be designes similar to Bridgford stand at Nottingham Forest or the end stands at the old Dell stadium at Southampton.
Can't do photos so could someone with a bit more tech please post examples. Thanks
