Or Russ, you could always be guided by The Guardian:
From The Guardian's MBM match report (27.08.23)
Still want more? Bet you do. The game of the day is Newcastle v Liverpool at St James’ Park. You can follow the game with Daniel Harris.

I always thought that the rule was no full stop in such abbreviations.

I always thought that the rule was no full stop in such abbreviations. This is correct because it’s a contraction not an abbreviation. Americans do though but what do they know about correct English

The point is that NUFC have the full stop. Always have. The street next door to the stadium is St. James' St. This is their correct version. Right or wrong that's how they do it up there. Proof readers should abide by that.

Changing Saint to St. and Street to St. Is a recipe for confusion. What were they thinking?

Better get this crucial part of the book correct so we don't lose all that Geordie cash.

It’s only on the new stadium they started using it. Attachments:

And note the correct use of the full stop after PL in the street name.

I figured the choice of moments would cause some debate but not the style guide! If I go with St James’ Park it’s less typing.

For me it was the Maidstone game - winning to have our first ever trip to Wembley(Old), coming home hanging out of the car windows and sun roof (yes we did have Sun Roofs then), stuck in the Dartford Tunnel and everyone singing - a memory to behold and will not be forgotten. Then going on to win the Play Off final. Playing at Arsenal in a cup game is right up there - 12,000 Utd fans and 2,000 locked out - what a spectacle that was. Unfortunately we lost, but had our players not stepped in to stop the 2 x gooners players fighting with each other - it might have been a different story. Exactly this - and how neither this or our amazing FA Cup runs haven't made the top 10 seems quite strange. Dartford tunnel has been mentioned a couple of times, but for the younger fans it needs a bit more info to put it into perspective. Until that evening no United fan would have ever thought to see us play at Wembley (it was for cup finals only prior to that season) Having booked our place in the playoff final was an amazing feeling. So, reaching Dartford tunnel, remember this is before the bridge being built, you only had the two tunnels. On this evening one tunnel was closed for repairs, so the remaining tunnel was two way traffic. All cars were funnelled to one lane, it was a warm evening and as mentioned whilst queuing everyone one was hanging out of windows or indeed sun roofs singing and chanting. As we eventually entered the tunnel we were a couple of cars behind a foreign HGV, with all the cars behind him with lights flashing, horns blaring and Wembley chants echoing, it was a riot of noise. The truck driver stopped in the tunnel, got out and walked back along his truck looking to see what was wrong because of as all the flashing lights and horns. The noise in the tunnel was mental. Anyway the truck driver got to the rear of the lorry looked at the scene behind him, shook his head then carried on. I didn’t vote for this but an unforgettable moment.
