Will be interesting how we set-up for this one. Hopefully we can get some better service up to Fejiri - 2-1 win. I suspect that – to much gnashing of teeth, Plan B-related apoplexy & Einstein quotes – it'll be: Stevens
Bennett Bennett Morrison Andrew
Cousins
Brophy Digby Lankester Kaikai
Ahadme And we'll win 2-1.

I'm looking forward to a real reaction on Saturday - there is a lot of 'making it right' to be done after the Boro debacle and it needs to start this week. We have a golden opportunity with Northampton and then Lincoln to add to the tally, and we need to do so.
I don't care how we win at the Cobblers, just that we must.

Apologies to jump into this match thread, but forgive us just one last push for some votes... Under The Abbey Stand have been nominated second year running for Club Podcast of the Year at the FSA Awards. This year it's a public vote and we're up against Liverpool and Arsenal, so give us a hand with a major giantkilling if you have a moment. We're in section 8 in the below link, takes 30 seconds and the polls close at midday. Thanks! www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/fsa-awards-2023

Yes we have to be taking 4 point from this and the Lincoln game next week. The players and management have had time off so they should be refreshed and looking to put in much better performances. The squad barring Dunk should be pretty much all fit now as well meaning pressure for places. Our record at sixfields is pretty decent so hopefully add to that.

Some fun trips to cobblers over the years. The Nathan Abbey night was amusing at the time. Was it Cobblers when that chap held up a sign saying we were going down and then had to move because we mercilessly ripped the p*ss out of him...only for us to identify him in a separate part of the stand and for it to all start again?.
Harsh on the poor chap, mind, heh.

No issue with retard, it serves a purpose. And in this case, it's him.
Anyway, (whisper it quietly) but we have an excellent record away at Northampton, so this could be just what we need.

Hate the ground, but it isn't too bad a drive from Cambridge area. Haven't decided if going or not still yet mind.

I wouldn't leave it too long before deciding, I think we'd sold over 1,100 by last Friday and the total allocation is 1,400 ish - I wouldn't be at all surprised if we sell this one out as the week goes by.

Didn't think we'd get close to selling out, thanks for the heads up Jerry!

That Ian Ashbee free kick on a cold night in 2001... Would you believe it, a quick Google and the goals are available on Youtube. Where did 22 years go?

Loved this away game, my 16th birthday pres from rents, allowing me to attend alone ha. That was a brilliant escape that season. Taking the old man along Saturday, hoping for the same! Also ended up in Northampton for a couple of years in the late 2000s (never again) so this feels like a proper derby to me.

It can't be any worse than the 2-0, gail force wind & rain, Elliot Ward & Marc Richards playing defeat in October 2019 (can it?!)
Stevens
Okedina Morrison Bennett Andrew
Cousins
Brophy Digby Lankester Kachunga
Ahadme
2-0, Morrison & Fejiri off the bench
