I'm going for: CUFC 0-3 Lincoln Team will be mixed up a little bit, but the usual Plan A will be used. Lincoln having done their homework will know exactly how to counter this and with no Plan B, we'll be one down in the first 15. A must-win game until we don't and suddenly it isn't. We'll then be reminded how lucky we are - pointing out that a decade ago we were playing Woking and only 15yrs ago we were playing the likes of Ebbsfleet. It'll then be drilled in that we shouldn't be expected to compete against the "big boys", the "in with a chance", the "just missing out" the "mid-table wannabe's" the "lower third grunts" the "bottom half survivors" or the "relegation fodder". I'll be there in the 3-degrees C tonight - what with me taking on some volunteering work on Saturday's, can't make weekend matches until March. Would love all of the above to not come true. You've got to get a prediction right one day - I just hope it's not today! Let's not forget this classic: "Prediction. We will get 3 more points this season, finishing second bottom. There will be no further wins." That was after the home loss to Charlton. The timing was just exquisite.

Do hope so, Martin.
Totally understand why people are dreading this one – and others – but personally that's a feeling I can rarely, if ever, remember having before a game.
I love watching my team play & always look forward to doing so, even before games I'm convinced we'll lose (like Peterborough away) because... well, you never know, do you? Even if it might often/frequently/usually be more in hope than expectation.
I've been half-expecting that feeling to disappear for a long, long time, but it's been god knows how many years now & somehow it's still there before every single match, even on freezing midweek Autumn evenings in the midst of an extended run of poor form.

We have a beautiful history of your negative predictions being wrong old boy. Let's hope tonight adds to your tally! Personally dreading this evening and not too unhappy I can't make it. Block C will go toxic with a loss and I'd prefer not to witness it. Block C toxic? Never! It will be a full on happy clap fest of beauty (and thats just Derek...)

Its the hope that kills you! Imagine not going tonight and we win 4-0 and you miss us scoring more than 3 for the first time since before the King came to the throne! I will make the journey as usual even though I know its freezing and won't get home until around 1130. I get why others might miss it though especially after being at the last 2 horror away shows.

Its the hope that kills you! The most overused phrase of last season & yet we're still here ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Suspect "Lack of/no plan B" will be the darling of this one.

I'm actually feeling really confident about us winning tonight. I'm not suggesting a victory will put everything right (of course it won't) but 3 points to the U's in a November game under the Abbey lights will give us all a bit of warmth and cheer. My only concern is that El G's magnificent match thread starter record so far this season will be challenged by a drunken, lecherous Irish priest who thinks it's OK to start a thread with a picture of Alan Titchmarsh and a flower.

The laughing emojis make me a bit uncomfortable there. Perfectly reasonable for a manager to drop a player who has been ever present in a uncreative forward line.

Oh...I didn't read it like 'the managers a joker'. I read it more innocently 'better find something else to do then'.

Really hope we play Fejiri and Gassan starting together and let's simply attack from the off, keep on the front foot and close them down at every opportunity.
No pussyfooting around tonight be positive from the off and Bang the Bloomin' thing out if you're stuck !
It's not Rocket science is it !
