Yeah, certainly in that promotion season he was. I think Ice started the season but Shaun must've played 20+ times for us and was decent. Andrew His career after United shows he wasn’t at all decent and was clearly not rated by anyone in the league, or higher non-league either. Not the worst keeper but certainly in the bottom half for us. He was absolutely rubbish, became a figure of fun, dancing Shaun FFS 😂

I've a vague recollection that Shaun Marshall had a really serious knee issue, that he played through, but meant he could never pass a conventional medical. Would possibly explain his career post United.
He was better than a lot of people gave him credit for, probably because on the odd occasion when he did mess up it was usually a howler.

Remember Marshall as having good mobility. As for Forde he made an art form of playing statues on our goal line. Did he ever dive and get up again in the same match? Actually did he ever save a penalty? Did we actually sign him on the strength of one worldly against us playing for Pompey?

Yes, but imagine that fixture from their perspective - at least we were at home! It’s crap from both sides but yes we were at home. I know they won’t let us play Boro on Boxing Day or NYD but we could play Northampton, Orient & Stevenage over the period which are all local and good for both clubs. Just needs a little thought from the EFL at times but then you could say that about a lot of things with the EFL! What, and have it spoil Christmas! (Based on our recent record against these teams)

Forde was v decent initially for us, think he was right at the end of he's career, time caught up with him in the end.

Fancy us to get something from today's game. Oxford have gone off the boil a bit since Manning left and were beaten by the cobblers on Saturday. Same team as Friday I guess.

Not so sure about same team, squad rotation has to play a part in the festive period. Maybe May and Jankester to get a start, based on Harris' glowing praise of them on Friday evening?

I would rotate against Evans Cloggers on Friday and probably rest the likes of Cousins & Kachunga against them to avoid injury. Digby will be fresh then as well after completing his ban.

Would definitely take a point today, festive fixtures can often throw up a few surprises so who knows.
There will be goals though based on recent performances.

I recall him making several world class saves against Sunderland in league cup around 20 years ago in the first quarter of an hour or so and the next 2 goals were not really his fault but the second half was a flurry of howlers and 7-0. That game epitomised Marshall for me.

No strikers is... Not ideal. Presumably Kaikai through the middle, maybe with Thomas?
