Sorry if this has been done before,if it has I haven't seen it. I thought it would be interesting to see how far and wide across the world Cambridge United has supporters living and watching games (probably on ifollow). Also when they return to the UK will they go to the Abbey? So let's hear from you all abroad and where you live and if you have any contact with any fellow U's in your country. I'll kick this off and say I spend a lot of time living in Sweden. Is Cambodia U still about?

Like a number of others on here I'm in Ireland. And yes, when I'm back I go to The Abbey.

Like a number of others on here I'm in Ireland. And yes, when I'm back I go to The Abbey. There's certainly more of an interesting from my friends back home since I've bored them all senseless with tales of The Abbey! I think having Wes and his standing in Ireland certainly helped too.

We set up a Sunday league team for expats over here, and they all got sick of me explaining why Cambridge are better than Arsenal, L'pool, Manchesters etc. They could all tell you our results though.

Relatively close, in South Wales. Been a fan since I was about 8, an increasingly depressing long time ago. My old man got a job at CRC so we moved to Cambridge when I was 4, and we lived by the Cam, so ended up walking to the Abbey most Saturdays until we moved back to Wales when I was 11. Get to a few home games and several away games a season. Otherwise it's a quick trip abroad to watch on ifollow.

I live in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada and watch every game on i-follow despite the 8 hour time difference. When there is a mid-day kick off, I have to get up at 4 in the morning to watch the game! And yes, when I come back to the UK to see family, I always try to include at least one visit to the Abbey.

There used to be a bloke on the moosenet mailing list who was an actual Swede supporting us. He's not been about for 20 years or more so I guess he's probably gone home and forgotten about us by now. We must often get people who visit or study here that adopt us for a year or two.
I met a guy in Nicaragua who followed us for a bit while we stayed in contact, I'm guessing he doesn't anymore though. His name was, and likely still is, Marvin which was the main reason I was attracted to him.

My background is clear from my username but these days I live in Germany 🇩🇪
I’ve met a German chap from Karlsruhe who supports the mighty U’s. A straightforward story was he studied in Cambridge many years ago and flies once or twice a year. As do I 🙂
Super idea for a thread
