I wouldn't want Bonner back.
It was tough watching him fall short.
It was tough seeing him get pelters.

In truth, the reason MB wouldn't be a good appointment is that it's just too soon since his last stint. The same players are here, listening to the same voice. If we were are in this situation in two years time and MB has had a solid stint somewhere else, then why not?
Which is why IMO it won't work now despite some people advocating it on here and social media. I always felt there will be a second stint for Bonner but now is not the time.

I am glad Harris is going did nt like his style of football now we are a long way from being safe so need to make a proper appointment no caretaker role and no return for Bonz either.

I doubt it would be that much, as he is only on an 18 month contract A year's salary for a manager is a wedge. Good bit of business by the club. We’re always moaning about not spotting young talent & selling on for a large profit! Very impressed by this new approach by the club 👏👏👏

You’re going back a long way here. Let’s remember large parts of last season and the majority of this. The football was dire, taught a lesson by many clubs and many managers. We were in complete disarray when Harris took over. He needs to go away, prove he can manage another club and learned from his many mistakes. I have huge respect for the job he done overall here, but his time had come. Some great memories but somewhat tarnished by some truly awful ones in more recent times. His last game in charge for a start. You must surely understand that having a bad run of form doesn't make someone a bad manager, when they also achieve great things at other points in their career? The vast majority of managerial appointments end with the sack. So virtually all experienced managers, and certainly all experienced managers we can realistically appoint, will have had periods of struggle in their careers. That doesn't make them bad managers, it simply means they weren't the right manager for that squad, at that moment in time. Given our form towards the end of his tenure, it's clear that MB was no longer the right man. But that doesn't negate his success and certainly doesn't mean he won't be successful in future. People learn and grow. I expect he will have recharged his batteries and will go to another club... not us, but another L1 or, more likely, L2 side. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him be a success if he does.

I wish him well, but I don’t want to see him back in charge of this club for a long while. Luckily I think Paul and the board have more sense than to do such a rapid u turn.

Everybody in football has their price and their club. Neil Harris is Millwall so if they come calling he will go.
My bigger concern of him leaving would be the mess it would cause not necessarily losing the man himself. I haven't really formed an opinion of him other than 'could do better-could do worse'.
If he goes, Barry is interim and look to appoint end of the season so the new manager has the whole pre-season.
Morro at some point to be player coach.

Strang must face court-martial and swift dismissal for this grievous calamity. He must not lead the quest for a new manager.

Anyone want to play Harris leaving statement bingo.
I've got "triffic club" "Cambridge means to much to me and my family" "thanks to the owner"

How else would you describe it but a poor run of form? At the start of October, we were higher in the league than we have finished in the last 30 years. We then won one game in two months and by the end of November, he was gone. Lets not pretend we were some kind of crisis club over the last 2 seasons of his tenure. League One is hard and he got us there, kept us there, and even when he left, we weren't in the drop zone. Yes, the form was poor, the last three games particularly, and it was right for him to go when he did. But the way some fans bang on, you'd think we've been fighting to get in the Championship for years and that finishing bottom half in this division whilst avoiding the drop is failure.

It's not necessarily about the man himself more the destabilising effect it may have on the club in this crucial part of the season.
