Strang probably had him in mind but thought best wait till the Posh, Chavs and Bolton games were done with in order not to put him off before making contact.

The poor dear Father Hacket. He's been outdone by a Monk. Perhaps he'll now take a vow of silence?!! . Poor Father! I'd break your vow if I were you and speak once again...

Hi Garry, about the match tapes for our last 3 games, unfortunately our IT has lost the files and DVD’s of them so I’m afraid no one can see them. We’ve got the Carlisle game though so you can use that as your starting base to analyse the squad. Regards B

I'm happy with this appointment, I would see having some time out of management as a positive, since it will have given him time to reflect and learn from previous roles.
If I have a concern it is that all of his other management roles have been at bigger clubs with much bigger budgets. Could see him getting frustrated with the financial constraints he will face with us.

I feel like any manager who takes on our job without understanding what that means in terms of our budget only has themselves to blame on that front.
Didn't realise he knows Betsy from Barnet.

Sure but that's not going to help us much.
It's an easy thing to ignore during interview, much harder when faced with the reality.
But I hope you are right...

. Didn't realise he knows Betsy from Barnet. I can’t decide if Betsy from Barnet sounds like an early 70s sitcom or is a lyric from a song those cockney types used to sing during the war.
