Unless he decides to throw Hoddle in, then its going to be Digby/Cousins or Thomas unless he's injured. With the squad assembled last summer there is a lack of creativity. There's no real 'no 10' to link the play like Wes used to so its a forward like Lankester or Kachunga there. GM isn't going to be able to do much with the available personnel other than to quote him clarity and belief. Got to hope for the 'bounce' with this lot playing for their futures again and that he does his first job and keeps us in league 1. Got to hope that Lyle Taylor can give us a lift and keeps his head for the next few weeks. I think actually we'll probably line up with 3 in the middle, judging by his comments about the numbers in the middle being light. Stevens
Bennett Bennett Morrison Andrew
Thomas/May Cousins Digby
Kaikai Taylor Brophy Would be my guess. I think Brophy could offer something as the left of a midfield three in that formation rather than up top. Would rather him than at three of Digby/May/Cousins. He's mobile for one. He may actually be the one who can link play. Would then allow a more natural forward such as Kachunga ahead of him

I agree, and have suggested similar before as it happens along with Lankester, but I'd be surprised if he did something like that in his first game, and having recalled Hoddle. You never know though I suppose.
Also I'd forgotten about Kachunga, who I'd expect to start.

I feel if we want to play a 3 we'd need to move someone into there, especially if Thomas is injured, and Brophy has the best attributes to do that. I also think Lankester could be another option to play there. Digby can work in that role but I don't think we have the other players around him to facilitate that so would rather see him be the one sitting a bit deeper.

The thought of watching May and Cousins together has me looking up what time Italy and Scotland kick-off at in the rugby.

Although his shooting has been cack I’d still line to see Lankester in the team as his performances aside from when he’s in the opposing box have been half decent and he has that ability to see that crucial final pass.

I'm not Lankester's biggest fan but he definitely should be starting in our midfield, as should Digby. If it's a straight choice then between Cousins and May I would have to go with Hoddle.

Hoping for a Monk bounce. Think we need a win from this one to stay up.

I notice 'GM' has appeared on the top. Harris never had the balls to break with that Bonnetradition.

The sun is out, hopefully a return to British Summer Time form a few weeks ahead of schedule.

Shame the Wobblers don’t appear to have sold out their allocation, must still be in shock after Tuesday night. We know how that feels! Think this has the makings of a very good game, one we absolutely need to win to calm the nerves. Big worry there will be no Thomas in the squad, and will be interesting to see who is on the bench. Got to start Lankester despite his profligacy in front of goal, as he has that creative spark. Wobblers fans thought Hoskins was brought back way before he was fully fit and suffered because of it. Bowie seems to be the one we need to watch, he’s their Starman apparently. Going for a bullish. 3-1 win with Brophy to score that goal!
