3-0 hammering. Nothing left to say. I cried when we stayed up last season. This lot I don't give a rubbish about. Pathetic. Careful, the usual suspects that would happy clap us all the way back to the Vanarama on here, will shortly be on your case.. The kind of people that moan about happy clappers told us that this club would be liquidated, that we would fall into regional football and that would really be the end, that we wouldn't win a play off final after a poor run, that appointing a former youth coach was a cheap option and that that we would bottle promotion and down at Easter every year. I'll stick to hope thanks. Team doom mongers may well get a win this season, but it won't be because people had hope and to me it doesn't look much fun.

Still thinking (hopefully) about the revolution. There *has* to be a reaction to Lincoln. Doesn't there? You would hope and expect to but, we never got one after the Peterborough 5-0, in the next matches against Northampton and Lincoln, so it will be interesting to see.

Well and truly lost my head last night (as my liberal testing of the MB's language filter will attest to).
It really wasn't the result that bothered me (although that was depressing too) it was the lack of fight.
All I've got it blind hope that surely SURELY some professional pride has got to shine through. You can't let that happen again. Even if you've got no ability you can stick your head down and run.
FFS what a bad place we're in

The majority of the team that started last night don't deserve to start Saturday. Change what we can, give other players a chance to show they want to play for the club. Get some youth and pace on the pitch. I don't care if we get overrun by giving it a go. I do care about getting overrun by not giving a sh*t. If the squad is announced on Saturday and it's "two changes from Tuesdays defeat" then there'll be ructions, and rightly so.
Mannion
Lennett Okedina Rossi Andrew
Kaikai May Janneh
Brophy Bonne Njoku

I just sat through the Lincoln highlights (wow) and after that performance there must be major changes.
Digby, Cousins and Stevens in particular should be dropped - we can't reward that level of incompetence by keeping them in the team.
It's not a hot take to say centre midfield is a problem but we need to change the system and personnel.
We're setting up with four of the least mobile players (Digby, Cousins, Rennet, Morro) in the league all wanting to occupy the same small square of the pitch and it's not even making us difficult to play through.
There's a strong whiff of Walker and Goodhind about this team at the minute - let's at least inject some energy by trying a couple of the youngsters.

After last nights debacle Monk has to get some sort of reaction and performance from the side. This was already a do not lose game but feels even more important now. I would like to see him change from the 4-4-2 as it was far too open, I think we need to go here and shut up shop and grind a point trying to nick a goal if we can. A 5-3-2 playing on the counter not allowing reading any space in behind. We all know Smith will be up for this one so at least try and make it difficult for him! I would like to see a change in goal keepers, Adam May to come in and would start Bonne and Taylor as the 2.

Definately need to make changes, firstly by leaving Cousins in Cambridge.
Need to bring Rossi or Okedina into the back line, Lankester needs to play behind the striker, not on the wing. Might as well try Bonne up front, at least he tries.
Put some youngsters on the bench and then actally give them a run out, can't be worse than Cousins/Taylor/Kachunga/Rennett.
And drop Cousins.

Whilst he clearly isn't the main/only thing wrong with this side at the moment I also don't see any harm dropping Stevens for Mannion. As has already been said before I'm not convinced there is much between either goalkeeper but Stevens has been a little erratic recently. He was definitely at fault for the goal conceded against Northampton and I also felt he could have done much better with the first two Lincoln goals last night even if the defending in front of him was borderline non-existent. If you aren't performing as you should then your place should be at risk and that applies to every player in the squad including the goalkeeper. Worryingly I have already committed to going to Reading on Saturday and am considering whether or not to stay in the pub all afternoon.

I fully expect that Garry will stick to the best players available to him and try to find a way to draw out a better performance from them.

Speaking of sanity, is anyone else feeling cool, calm and optimistic this morning?
A win on Saturday may seem unlikely but the same people were saying the same things about where our next win would come from last season too. We found a way then and I still think we'll find a way this season.
Bring it on.

Get a good reaction then I'd be more optimistic but more of the same and I'd be fairly pessimistic over our chances.
