It may get worse before it gets better, but with the Wycombe game moved we now have 3 home games in the last 5 and 2 in the last 3. Even if we’re in the drop zone by then with Gassan and Fej back a big finish might not be beyond us.

You'd drop Bennett, one of about 2 players to come out of the past 5 games with any credit?

Kachunga looked lost last night, when he stayed on, and very good at times on Saturday, when he got brought off! In both games Taylor looked like he didn't want to be there.

Situations like this where we really could do with a reserve team that plays fortnightly. Mannion and Okedina should both start on Saturday but both will be coming in cold. Would also aid the recovery of the injured few nearing a return.

Definately a day for the lucky pants. I shat my lucky pants last night. They've now been mentally binned off, alongside the majority of this squad.

Not sure Monk is a three at the back man so I reckon I'd go 4-3-3.
If recalling Jobe was an option I'd do that but I'm guessing it's not so I'd go Okedina/Morro. I feel like Okedina steps out of defence a bit more and adds a bit of mobility to the side.
Midfield is desperate for some pace and mobility and it's not going to get that from May, Digby and Cousins so I'd consider putting Brophy in there if Hoddle isn't ready. If he does nothing else at least we know he keeps the ball well and gets us up the pitch.
Kachunga, Kaikai and Taylor upfront.
If I saw Hoddle, Yearn and Njoku in the side I'd be happy though.

Stevens
Bennett, Okedina/Ibsen Rossi, Morrison, Andrew
May Digby Lankester
Kaikai Taylor Brophy
Or
Stevens
Bennett, Okedina/Ibsen Rossi, Morrison, Andrew
May Digby Lankester
Kaikai
Bonne/Kachunga Taylor
Or
Stevens
Bennett, Okedina/Ibsen Rossi, Morrison, Andrew
Digby
May Cousins Lankester/Brophy
Bonne/Kachunga Taylor
would be what I'd like to try. Brophy potentially in that 3 in place of Lankester maybe, although he's quite weak on the ball and quite short too, which is why I'd favour Lankester I think.
Could be an absolute disaster but we simply can't just keep lining up with only 2 players in midfield. We don't have the right players for it and get totally overrun. We need the extra man in there to constrict the space, challenge better for second balls, and offer passing options and angles for whoever ends up on the ball.

Lennett in midfield? He has the energy to go box to box, can tackle and can pick a pass. Will also give 100% and look disinterested.
Put Gibbons at right back and play Lennett with Digby, with Brophy and Kaikai either side. Then put Lancaster alongside Taylor or Kachunga upfront.
If you look at our goal against Northampton, Lennett picked the ball up in the middle of the field followed by neat interchanges with Lankester to put the ball on a plate for Kachunga.
Surely worth a go:
Mannion Gibbons, Morro. Okedina, Andrew Digby Brophy, Lennett, Kaikai Lankester, Kachunga/Taylor
