Well out of this as I was born at Primrose Lane Maternity Hospital in Huntingdon. But what a brilliant thread...love reading the stories.

I was born at The Rosie, which according to google maps is 3.6 miles from The Abbey by road, which is at least a mile further than I would have guessed.

Favourite CUFC player: Spriggs. Dublin. Pitt. Lennett.
Favourite CUFC match: vs Leicester C (H) 1982. Without that...?

I was born in York so likely one of the further ones away. My Dad did apologise for that and we moved back down to Cambridge not long after though Great thread by the way.

I was born on the centre circle. Beat that.
My other personality was born in a branch of Nanna Mexico, which I am shocked to discover has not been Rushdend.

Old workhouse on Mill Road like many on here. Luckily my Manc parents moved down for work just in time for me as my brother has to put up with a Wythenshawe area birthplace

Christchurch Street for me. Heart of the Kite (not that we called it that then) and an entertaining stroll up Newmarket Road past the Bird in Hand and the haunted ADC props warehouse, Past the Corona works and the Rock King, past the Corner House, the chippy and the Seven Stars, past the gas works, the Wrestlers and the Chien 2, over the bridge and through the turnstiles to Paradise.

I was born in Colchester and raised in the village of Birdbrook, a whole 18 miles from the Abbey, which I suppose makes me a bit more of an outsider than most. I moved into the city when I was 16 though and, although I now live in Royston, I’m very pleased to say all three of my children entered this world in the Rosie and are therefore much closer in birth to the Abbey than I was.
