I went to the euros in 2016. Saw Wes score v Sweden in Paris. Fantastic atmosphere, 2 great sets of fans. Would I want to go and watch England and listen to the tripe the fans sing in the streets? . No thanks. Obviously I want us to win but I find myself getting less and less bothered when we don’t and more and more infuriated by pundits like Neville and Keane who’ve already set up Alexander Arnold as the fall guy for any disappointing performances that will undoubtedly occur at some point.

My lad has set off early doors today for all the England group games with his mates. Plane to Charleroi & 3 separate buses & trains to stadium area. I’m quite jealous now as it’s a fantastic experience & the majority of the fans are not how the media like to portray them

Anyone else see the U's amber army flag at the game I think there's two flags - one next to the Bulgarian flag and another two flags to the left

Seen a few U's flags. Sort of disproportionate considering we're just little old Cambridge.

Sad when looking for U's flags is more interesting than watching England

Well that was like watching us second half. Hanging on and inviting pressure. Great for half an hour and then sat back. A win is a win though.

Anyone else think that Foden is utter shite for England? Palmer has to start next game.

Well that was like watching us second half. Hanging on and inviting pressure. Great for half an hour and then sat back. A win is a win though. Standard Southgate tactics. Score early, sit back and hold on, however we can, for the win. For God's sake, we are blessed with a strike force we haven't seen for a generation or more, and one most teams in the tournament would die for. Unleash them to do their best, rather than stifle them. We play best when we move the ball with pace and purpose, too often tonight it was ponderous and lacked penetration.

We play 10 qualifiers a year where we have 70% possession and can just grind out easy wins. With newbies in midfield and the back four it was probably actually quite handy to practice our shape work and defending the box. The dynamic systems and slick passing of the first 20 minutes is all well and good in the group but fairly irrelevant when you get to the knockouts. Serbia conceding 19 fouls didn't help the fluidity either, I know we are missing Maguire from set pieces but I often think those restarts where the midfield knock it between themselves is exactly what the opposition want after they've fouled you and got 10 men back behind the ball.
