Little nibble from the website guy shows how touchy the Gardner situation is! Why isn’t he round the club on match days like Barton and Lavery were today? He did do a lovely piece with Astra Zeneca though. I see Jobe there also today 👍 Yes Jobe was in the South Stand today, all smiles but walking a tad gingerly still (as you’d expect) hope he keeps the smiles as he’s got a way to go but a bright future still.

The Club has probably never been more transparent with injuries - there are updates on all injured players in each Matchday Programme and Garry answers questions in press conferences in a very straightforward manner. So why has hardly anything been said about Gardner?? He was a big signing for us in July, he’s not been seen on the pitch and barely mentioned around the club, yet we are communicating his injury updates like he’s a first year scholar??

He did do a lovely piece with Astra Zeneca though. Not touchy or a nibble - just saying how it's not true that there has been silence regarding him. He has had regular updates in the programme like anybody else and Garry has spoken about him whenever asked - which is fairly regularly! He has been at games too - been in hospitality a couple of times recently, went to the Foundation's Gala Dinner the other week and has been doing other player appearances.

He was misdiagnosed (by the club I assume?) and so a little embarrassing or possibly even compensation-able (?)

Cheers Dan, it’s only a little nibble don’t worry!😉 In our new transparent phase can you ask the questions this week so we can all be sure? Was he misdiagnosed? What is the injury? and what’s the target fixture for return?

This one is called Gary's in the garden. It takes the form of a call and response. And works best if you imagine it taking place between two fans on opposite sides of a railway station, without a train in-between, obviously.
I beg your pardon? I said Gary's in the garden Shouldn't he be on the pitch? He's digging a new drainage ditch I thought he was injured? No, just green fingered Did Ben Strang make an absolute bungle? Never mind that, Gary's growing an urban jungle. Why isn't he making key passes? He's occupied, weeding where the new grass is I thought he was going to be our star man? He's testing out his new watering can How much are we paying him? He's bought new clippers to give the hedge a good trim Will he play at all this season? Not while those green pods still have peas in Why did we sign him if he's crocked? Did you see his lovely display of hollyhocks Is he at least attending the matches? He's been very busy digging new veg patches. Does he even exist at all? Yes, he's harvesting his root vegetables I beg your pardon?

This guy's played over 300 games all in the Premier League or Championship. He's hardly a shirker and will be dismayed that he's currently injured. There's a lot of unnecessarily weird/disrespectful stuff being said by the softheads on this forum. Hopefully he will play for us soon.

Gary Gardner has long term issue and won’t play professional football again. Is that why he's joined us?

Until something comes out from the club this is pure speculation.

There was something in Saturday’s programme that said his Achilles was doing well but he had some sort of problem with a big toe or something. Sounds like Gary Lineker, never mind Gardner…

I’m sure we will get a proper update today in the pre-match press interview with Gary (Monk)

I’m sure we will get a proper update today in the pre-match press interview with Gary (Monk) Yeah, I’m sure it will be a proper update and not some vague answer about knees and grass…
