Anybody watching The Outsider? Ok. Cobra is a bit average despite a v good cast. Enjoyed the latest BBC4 Scandi, Wisting. And the second series of Hidden is coming soon, set in N Wales/Anglesey, always good for scenery.

The Outsider is quite good, but they still have to do the hard part and provide a satisfying ending. It's a lot easier to set up a mystery than it is to satisfactorily resolve one.
White House Farm has been an enjoyable watch.
I recently finished The Good Place, which had an excellent finale.

I found the good place a bit smug. Very surprised by all the good reviews.

Both a good watch The Good Place definitely lost its way (or at least lost me) for a while, but I'm glad it finished well. It deserved that, just for the premise. You is one of my guilty pleasure shows, along with Dirty John (you need to listen to the podcast first, as it's a true story). Returning to the subject of shows that had an amazing first season before tailing off somewhat, the final season of Homeland starts this weekend.

I watched the first season of Heroes a couple of weeks ago, I'd forgotten how amazing it was in parts. Won't be bothering with rest of it though.

Already finished watching Season 2 of Afterlife, a brilliant series albeit with some very crude stuff (perhaps even more so than the first series). But still one of those very few programs that can have you laughing one minute and then tearing up the very next.

Original Twilight Zone. So much greatness in the first three seasons.

Finally got round to watching seasons 3 and 4 of Gomorrah. Has to be on a par with Breaking Bad and The Wire, and IMO the best Europe has to offer of that sort of thing. Thoroughly recommend this gripping rollarcoaster, plots and dialouge subtly shakespearian and machiavellian. 10 out of 10 from me. I tried last night the first episodes of Narcos: Mexico season 2 and Gangs of London and neither came close to giving me the same hit Gomorrah did so I just gave up on them. The Gomorrah spin off movie L'Immortale that came out at the end of 2019 picks up where season 3 ended and worked really well. Roll on Season 5 of Gomorrah which is apparently in the planning but I guess will have to wait at least a couple of years for that so until then am grateful for any recommendations.

I'm up to episode 5 of Gangs Of London. Quite enjoying it, but it seems like most of it is there to set up the brilliant fight/gunfight scenes. It certainly gives Game Of Thrones a run for its money in the blood and guts quota.

I thought Gangs of London was going to be more gritty and ‘realistic’ (as much as such things ever are) but once you realise they’re going for a much more stylised and fantastical approach, it’s more enjoyable.
Homeland has been great this season and, with only one episode left of the whole series, it looks set to bow out in style.
Better Call Saul was excellent again this season, with some of the best performances I’ve ever seen from the leading cast.
I recently rewatched all of This Country as I felt sure my wife would appreciate it, and she did. It’s the best UK comedy for a long while.
This has been out a while now on Netflix, but has anyone seen The Witcher? I enjoyed it, but felt it was all over the place with its tone, which was quite often jarring. It’s clearly not meant to be ‘serious’, but at times it was slapstick and it didn’t feel right.
Also, Watchmen - amazing. Had it on my Sky planner for ages but only recently gave it a go. Whether you think it’d be ‘your thing’ or not (I didn’t), give it a go.

The Witcher tried so hard to be the new GOT, It wasn't terrible but the "time travel" element just made it feel all over the place. Watchmen was a weird one, it was so slow at the beginning but when it ended I wanted so much more I can only recommend Community on Netflix, seasons 2 & 3 are probably the best tv I've ever watched (for a comedy) it just pips IASIP for my fav show. First half of season 1 is a bit off so stick with it

Has anyone seen the new Spitting Image? I've seen a few highlights on U'sTube and it seems desperately dull to me. If it was offensive I could at least get some shock value from it but it just looks lazy.

Bit late to the party I know but I’ve been binge watching Hinterland on Netflix, really dark and atmospheric, terrific locations and great story lines
