The Snake (that's Harris) brought him in as they had previous. He made an immediate impact and there's obviously a very good player there. Then Harris left and it all went downhill...a stupid red card which the club decided to appeal (it was never going to get overturned), then lacklustre performances, then negative posting on social media about fans criticising him after which he never played for us again. IMO he's a player who needs love and some kind of connection with his boss, particularly one where they have had previous dealings. There's lots to like about him...and some things less good. As I understand it the Cowleys have past connections with him which could really work in your favour.

Actually, he did play for us again as a sub in the penultimate game against Wycombe - and gave away the penalty that led to Wycombe’s late equaliser. Otherwise agree with everything you have said. He needs to be loved and to believe he is the most important player at the club.

My prediction is that he won't last the season before his toys are in another clubs pram.
On loan at Wimbledon by the season end. Or maybe Maidstone.

Also on the announcement on Colchester's web site, no mention of LT being at Cambridge last season. Could be a reason for the apparent cancellation of the planned PSF

I absolutely loved Taylor when he joined the club. Spoke unbelievably well in a couple of interviews, and came across as a really intelligent and thoughtful person and obviously has talent.
Sadly, there's also a petulant child in him too, with a big chip on his shoulder about something.
From winning us a game or two pretty much single handedly to nearly costing us safety - hero to villain who has Bristol's Chris Martin to thank for diverting some of our anger to him at the tail end of last season.
If he can turn that around, he'll be a great asset for Colchester. If not I expect he'll have a similar fall from grace there. I hope not, but he has form.

I think he'll do very well there. The Cowleys are building quite a good squad there, I fancy them to be challengers. In their press release, they talk about bringing him in, not just for his own talent, but to mentor two young strikers. That could go one of two ways, but it might help him to channel his behaviour positively.

Sky sports reporting: “ Ipswich striker Ahadme set join Charlton Latest from Sky Sports News' Dharmesh Sheth: Gassan Ahadme will leave Ipswich and join Charlton Athletic in a deal worth £1m.” Wow if the fee is true. Although he was exceptional for us I’m not sure I would have said another club would pay a £1m package for him. Although i suppose it will help fund Omari Hutchinson’s Ipswich deal. Charlton better be in the automatics by halfway point for Jones to not get nervous. And are we becoming Charlton’s feeder club?

Now Charlton is my best friend.
