No logic at all in resigning ourselves to not getting anyone, just because nothing was announced at bang on 5PM, as we’ve come to expect when we announce signings. There’s just over five and a half hours of transfer window left, with a grace period of a further two hours two dot i’s and cross t’s provided a ‘deal sheet’ outlining that something is agreed in principle is submitted to the league before 11PM.
5PM however would be the registration deadline for any incomings to be eligible to play tomorrow. For all we know, we’ve done just that and haven’t announced, which we are not obligated to do. We could announce a signing by naming them in the team sheet if we so chose.

A cursory twitter search for Conor Washington doesn't inspire confidence if it is him we're after. Phrases like 'brittle' and 'washed up' are all I'm seeing from Derby fans. Sounds like our sort of signing then.

Are we really that bad for us to never get players in that we try and go for. It’s like this every season. We really do need to get rid of Strang. If we do get a striker in tonight ? He most probably will be injured for a couple of months.
