Are we really that bad for us to never get players in that we try and go for. It’s like this every season. We really do need to get rid of Strang. If we do get a striker in tonight ? He most probably will be injured for a couple of months. I doubt it is Strang more like wages as most players want the world now and would be hard to give them money which we could nt afford.

We’ve always got the memories of deadline deals gone by to remember…

If we were to end up back in L2, I wonder if we'd have the same problem attracting the necessary talent to be successful at that level as we do in L1. Relatively speaking we'd be a more attractive option as we'd be a much bigger fish and represent a good opportunity to good players at that level looking to advance their career. Here we're a relative minnow and perpetually in a relegation battle.

But with a smaller squad we offer the chance of potentially more minutes on the pitch which must count for something surely .

He most probably will be injured for a couple of months. We've signed plenty of quality players. We're really missing just one. Why rag on the guy for the signings we fail to make each window when we've consistently made the signings we've needed to to do the job we've required? Admittedly we've done so by the hair of our teeth more than once, but if we're really calling strang a failure we're not doing so in league 1.

Surely us being third in the national Fluffy Bunny Index is more important than money?

I wonder if Saturday's result has counted against us.
Hear me out...
For a prospective striker, yes money is probably the biggest factor. But so is game time. Before Saturday we could have showed them the QPR game and the Crawley game and say, look at the way we're playing and look at the chances we're creating - we're just desperate for a number 9 to convert the chances into goals.
But now having scored 4 goals, two from strikers, a prospective striker may be less convinced they're a dead cert for being consistently in the starting 11.

Safe to say it's not Washington.
