Yup, a very underwhelming transfer window.

We can’t seem to attract enough people of a good age, quality and injury record to sign here permanently. Not great.

I do get it’s tough. So many big hitters in our league and even the smaller sides are better monied than us (Burton, Wycombe, Stevenage etc).

But eeesh.

Feels like most of the signings are loans or old or injury prone or all of the above.

Lavery and Watts maybe the exceptions.

Monk is gonna have to coach his arse off to get this group to stay up I fear.

For what it’s worth I can’t see us doing this, but I hope we are keeping an eye/allowing a couple of the out of contract folks to train with us whilst taking our time to make a decision on them.

Think Gardner and Smith are good signings, our midfield was holding us back from having enough ball to have much of a style. We've used the loan market better as in Stokes and CO'R we've got players with big transfer fees we'd never be able to match. We shipped off a lot of players so not all replacements will be hits, but we'll be needing one or two to surpass expectations I imagine at least.

Ends any debate over what we do with Njoku anyway. GK and number 9 arguably the most important positions to fill.. fear we’ve ballsed up both. I wish him well though.

I'm willing to hold off judging Nlundulu until he's had a run of games in the side. Obviously wan't our first choice (unlikely he was anywhere near our top 10 targets) but he was at least highly rated when he was at Cheltenham.

If Lavery is fit, he starts every single game this season.

So one loan player has to drop out each week. It won't be the Gk, the two defenders or Stoksey.

I doubt it will be the new lad we have signed otherwise what's the point of signing him.

So are we going to be sending back Richards?
