So one loan player has to drop out each week. It won't be the Gk, the two defenders or Stoksey. I doubt it will be the new lad we have signed otherwise what's the point of signing him. So are we going to be sending back Richards? Richards could be out a while

Are we really that bad for us to never get players in that we try and go for. It’s like this every season. We really do need to get rid of Strang. If we do get a striker in tonight ? He most probably will be injured for a couple of months. We've signed plenty of quality players. We're really missing just one. Why rag on the guy for the signings we fail to make each window when we've consistently made the signings we've needed to to do the job we've required? Admittedly we've done so by the hair of our teeth more than once, but if we're really calling strang a failure we're not doing so in league 1. This is the message board, stop talking sense.

He hasn’t commented about any other signings but told me Richards was way, way above our pay grade as long as he can get his head straight after what he’s been through…

What is Richard’s injury seemed to have missed any comment on that?

Losing a good friend, plenty of us had that at a V early age, he's had plenty of support at QPR, loads, but it's worn thin now.

It's incredibly crass to suggest him taking time to come to terms with a huge and devastating loss is tiresome and "wearing thin".

Have a great deal of sympathy for Strang.
Monk's and the players' work is out there on the pitch for us to see and judge.
Which one of us actually knows in detail what goes on with the recruitment work? None of us!
We all acknowledge efforts have been made to sign quality centre forwards. Why hasn't it happened?
- money - status of club (size/expected prospects for season)
What exactly can Strang do apart from make us sound like a pleasant place to play football and offer as much money as he's allowed to by the board?
What am I missing?
Arguably we've done well to sign Lavery, Smith and Gardener.*
*And Stokes

I'm sure it's mostly about the money but it also depends which markets you're looking in? We haven't signed anyone from lower leagues, abroad, academy players released by higher league sides.
Seems like we've taken a fairly well trodden (lazy?) route of looking for loans and older players released by teams above and around us.

Plenty players being released by mutual consent in these last few hours, hopefully we can pick up another player or two in the free transfer market. Freddie ladapo would be welcome!!

Yes, you'd certainly hope we've looked in these markets but they're not the ones to get the missing No 9 we're talking about in this instance. More generally; - isn't abroad very difficult now, with work permits? - academy players from higher league sides? Well, we've got Jubs n Zeno still. - can't actually remember off the top of my head who our last Dunk-esque signing was. I would argue that not being in for Stokes when he signed for Aldershot was dropping a bollock.
