Or for the visit of Stevenage.
Or Wrexham.
Birmingham could do with a humbling.
Also Bristol Rovers simply because of that bellend Chris Martin.
Charlton because of Jones.
Sod everyone that's not a Cambridge fan basically.

Actually looks better than I imagined it would. Shame. Andrew That's what I thought. My main concern is that the South Stand family scheme, which necessitated these Habbin seats, does not fall flat on its arse. Given the increased attendances of recent years I'm not sure why I have this doubt, perhaps because the club haven't been making much/any noise about the uptake of the ticketing offers.

They should consider themselves lucky, at least these are raised above the terrace, unlike the diagonally aligned versions we used to have over there.

I don't think that'll be filled by season ticket holders. There'll be some for sure, but I'd expect the majority of that seating to be taken up game by game by semi-regulars and occasional attendees.

We will look kinda foolish and tinpot if the clubs that would have sold out the SS see empty seats over there. But then again, those games are the 'attractive' ones, where I think we will see a greater demand for matchday tickets. I'm sure this was all analysed based on previous season's uptake and demand. I just hope they have thought about access arrangements and security of home fans on the common, I wouldn't want kids to be mentally scarred by away fans intent on causing trouble after a game. The South Stand emptying at the same time as Away fans could be a recipe for trouble.

I’m surprised the old technique of keeping away fans back for 10/15 mins was ever scrapped.
Alternatively can’t the south stand exit out via the main stand, there’s a small fence at the back that could be altered?
Otherwise yeah I agree there’s a real of some unsavoury moments on the common.

I would expect that might be the way they handle it.
I can't see it being acceptable to funnel everyone from the SS round the back of the Main Stand, numbers would be too big on a sell out match. Besides, I expect quite a few will want to exit onto the common, and head for Coldhams Lane, rather than go the long way round and still face the potential for clashes on the common.
I'm sure the SAG has it all in hand!

There will be more availabilty in the main stand as well now with families moving to the SS for the semi-regulars. I just hope its managed properly when selling tickets for the bigger games online. Loads of Derby fans found there way in as have other clubs in the past.

Don't get to many games but this will make it easier to sit down with grandchildren.

Looks a bit tinpot, I suppose, but better than I expected. Given that the open terraced area hasn't been used for as long as I can remember, presumably this has been done without much real impact upon on overall capacity?

It's progress. It's definitely less tin pot than what was there before.
Our first new seating since 2002 (or something like that).
Kudos to the club for having the vision to do this and taking the risk of lower attendances next season for the long term growth of the fanbase.

Unless you're counting the handful of amber and black seats in the posh (spit) seats, yup 2002.
