Yep, no signs on the doors of the previous club shop. No directions to the new place. (Or even any acknowledgement that a new place had been opened.) Loads of people wandering around wondering why it was shut, kids upset they couldn’t buy a new shirt. Contrary to what some have said, there was no visibility of the new shop from the main NRE entrance as there was some sort of kids’ fanzone there. Obviously it’s *hilarious* to know it was just a few paces away down Newmarket road but you’d have to know that, wouldn’t you. If walking round from the Habbin, like a good third of our supporters, it was invisible. It would have been quite simple to have had some of the 'Abbey Helpers' positioned at the NRE entrance to direct people to the new shop! Seems like a bit of an OG.

Aren't there normally stewards/helpers at the entrance on Newmarket Road who people could have just asked? Or even just asked any of the other hundreds of fans milling around? Seems like the sensible thing to do.
There were certainly people in high vis there when I turned up to collect my season card around 12.
I suppose they could have laminated a little sign up but you can see why the club didn't given that the building is a stone's throw away.

In all seriousness not everyone would have seen the messages about the new club shop so yeah the club should've put something on the door to the old one. Even an arrow pointing right could have been usefull. I'm assuming Stuart is correct in saying nothing was there. Surely the arrow should be pointing left, towards the new shop?

Don't know if this has already been posted elsewhere, but what genius decided to make it impossible to access the new club shop unless you're standing in the NRE?I was in the Habbin on Saturday but decided to pop round to the club shop for my annual browse of the new merchandise. The old shop was closed with no explanation or notice in the windows. Quite a few more bemused looking supporters were hanging round, trying to get in. I remembered from reading the chairman's recent message that a new shop had opened in the Corona area / old Thrifty car park. I tried to find it. Couldn't even see it, let alone access it, as it was seemingly on the other side of the NRE turnstiles. The club must have lost hundreds of quid on Saturday as my experience clearly wasn't isolated. It just seems staggering to me that they could get this so wrong. Not wanting to rub salt into your wounds Stu, but you couldn't actually access the new club shop once you had been admitted into the NRE!

Several players also couldn’t find the goal on Saturday too so I think the club could improve on their signage around the stadium.

Framed beautifully by those fantastic floodlight pylons! Poor picture composition on my part to cut off the top of the near left floodlight! Don`t worry, just blame the Curvature of the Earth !

End of August has passed. Hopefully the club are in a position very shortly to “press the button on the planning application” as stated by Mr Tunbridge.

Aug 23 Oct 23 Jan 24 Feb 24 Summer 24 Early in the season 24 Aug 26 is more likely You do realise that the date is probably not in the club's control? If they release something that gets bounced back by the planners, then we will all (well some will!) shout and scream about a lack of preparation and professionalism. In any building project, especially a complex one like this, there are so many barriers and red tape to overcome. We may well have been ready to release details before now, only for the council, supporters club, surveyor or any other stakeholder to raise a red flag. It will happen, we know the finance is in place, we know agreement has been reached with the SC, it could well be that the Council is holding things up. If I am to be critical, it would be to say to the CEO, don't promise dates that you can't deliver, especially when the timeline is not in your control.
