The elections are over, so you won't hear anything from the local clowncilors or the ginger muppet.

I'm sure a thread would appear here if anyone had any news, I doubt you'd really need to ask!

Yes. They were nice enough to give us some time off but we're paying rent now and have been for a while.
Not sure of the amounts but I think it may be back to the levels the club agreed when they signed the lease with Bideawhile so a very significant amount. Much more affordable as a FL club though.

Does anyone know how much it would be for us to buy the Abbey? I am not suggesting that we do try and buy it, I am just curious as to the value of it.

It cost Grovsenor around £2.2m didn't it? Not 100% sure, but £2.2m sounds very low. Pretty sure it was over £3m I remember hearing suggestion that the Bideawhile partners wanted to make £1m profit each.

The other issue , even if we had the money, is that as part of Grovesnor's overall business strategy (IIRC the whole reason the company exists is to essentially manage assets in the interests of the Duke of Westminster and his immediate family) generally speaking, whatever they buy/build/develop is only ever leased and not sold, as this is more profitable in the longer term. I could be wrong, but from what I recall from reading about the company and how they operate around the time they bought the ground, I wouldn't be too hopeful that they'd consider even a full market value offer.
