The club are getting quotes for the building work, my guess is they do intend to go ahead with this, wait and see I suppose. I hope that they allow at least room for expanding up. Extra supporting wall thickness, fire exit capacity, stair wells, etc. I suppose that will be clear from the drawings once they are public.

I couldn't get the links to work either, but I have managed to see the drawings now by registering and creating a login on the Council website.

Looks like the hospitality area, vps and directors rooms are being enlarged, but not the fans bar (dublin suite) Boooooo!

Well looking at those plans it seems to me that the Dublin Suite is being increased in size by about the same size as the Directors & VP areas. It's actually quite a minor extension really, although no doubt it will generate extra much needed match day and non match day income. Also, it's rather nice to see hand drawn plans again. Most applications are drawn on a computer nowadays. Old school rules! Looks like the hospitality area, vps and directors rooms are being enlarged, but not the fans bar (dublin suite) Boooooo!

No, your looking at the hospitality area of the dublin suite, not the fans bar, as colin says that remains the same, not enlarged.

Excellent - simple and cheap development that should increase the club's non-matchday and matchday revenue. Yes, if we stay at the Abbey then we may need to complete a more substantial, multi-storey development, but while things are up the air this is a simple build that should pay for itself very quickly.
Smart commercial thinking once more from Mr Doggett.

It's good to have a Chairman and a board of directors who actually want to increase income for this Football club! At a guess doubling the size of the Dublin suite could add £20,000+ a year just in match day income as it is no secret we now have a waiting list to use it.

Your talking about the actual operational physical size of the "serving bar" then? Rather than the enlarged size of the room? If so, I don't see on those drawings, where it shows that the (serving) bars areas within the Endeavour & Directors lounge areas has been increased. Looking at those drawings the "hospitality" areas in all of the sections has been increased in size, which to me makes sense. I fully appriciate that on match days a "larger" bar counter with more staff would be a benefit but I suspect the idea behind the plans was to increase the room sizes so that there could be more tables with more paying "match day meal" income and a greater potentional for hiring of larger rooms on non-match day events. It make ssense to me. No, your looking at the hospitality area of the dublin suite, not the fans bar, as colin says that remains the same, not enlarged.
