The whole relocation, redevelopment situation has gone deathly silent for some time and Grosvenor haven't had one of their stakeholder update meetings for an age. Is everything dead in the water or are things progressing quietly in secret and is a planning application going to actually be submitted at some point?
And what happened with the Dublin Suite extension that planning permission was granted for?

It is still ongoing and the Dublin suite is also in the mix,
We were left with little time to do the work before the season started.
It would have meant loosing many car park spaces while building work
was going on.

More specifically; Is it now / still the main plan to redevelop the abbey over a move? If so, when will this work begin? What does the plan include? Are there still plans for the training facilities at trumpington? What's the timeframe for confirmation / planning permission etc? Are grovesnor still backing the plan? What are the potential stumbling blocks? Why is there no more fans meetings on this subject? Understand that you might not be able/ allowed to answer fully on all of these, but feel as though we look to you as fed to provide the updates back to us, and we haven't heard in ages what the latest news is. Thanks, Tom

Thanks, Tom Watch the Local Plan Examination in Public on at the moment. If this is favourable then more concrete plans will begin to emerge. I doubt the club know where this will go at the moment.

I see Fatboy Pickles has decided not to call in City's application to build in Sawston, which means they can go ahead in the near future. My, how fast things move in the planning sector.

I wonder if we may yet get a new Stadium away from the Abbey. I suspect it may yet be possible to work through all the obstacles. This will be the most viable way of significantly increasing revenue and moving this club forward.

This should be a consideration either with a re-developed Abbey or a new stadium.

I think we could do with a capacity of around 15,000 if we move to a new stadium with the option of increasing the capacity as we climb higher up the league ladder, if we stay at the Abbey we would have to replace 3 stands and that would probably cost as much as a new stadium.

But we'd remain in Barnwell. This matters.

I am torn, I would like us to stay at the Abbey as this is where we created our history and have so many fond memories. But on the other hand it is not a great location, it is dated and a new community stadium would offer a bigger capacity and more non-matchday revenue.
I don't think we should go overboard on capacity though. Yes it may look nice but it will look embarrassingly empty most weeks and will also kill the atmosphere.

Capacity of 9000 needed no more no less we're still averaging around 3300ish for standard league 2 games
