Wackaday surely won't hang on much longer at Leeds after losing to Bradford tonight. The Italian owner vacated the directors box as soon as the second Bradford goal went in, although that might have had something to do with the unrest amongst the Leeds fans. Was a great ending to the game with the three quick goals,Bradford coming back from one down. Must admit I do like that Bradford strip with the amber and claret stripes, although I know it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Hockaday has got to go after tonights pi $$ poor performance from Leeds, with it being against Bradford should speed his P45 along a bit faster.

The appointment of Hockaday by a high profile championship side seemed astonishing to me at the time. After all, the bloke had made a pigs ear of the Forest Gump job for a couple of seasons, despite being given huge amounts of money to spend. He seemed to spunk it all on about 11 strikers every year and then spend time complaining about injuries and refereeing decisions.

It was astonishing to most people.

Am i the only one who feels quite sorry for him?
A look back at his career tells you he's no mug when it comes to coaching, including setting up the first proper youth academy in this country. I'm sure i remember reading/hearing Richard Money talk very highly of him as a coach and saying he led the way for youth academies in football. He's just not a good football manager. He was hardly going to turn down the Leeds job, was he?
Even getting the sack won't turn him into a millionaire - his predecessor Brian McDermott had a salary of £750k a year, Hockaday is on between £80-90k a year.

I feel a bit sorry for him too. But who will take the job when he does go heaven knows. Still, money talks so someone will but the Italian will have to fork out more that £100k a year.

Well he didn't last long in the big bad world called the football league, I think he bite off a little bit more than what he can chew, maybe Forest Gump Rovers might have him back or he could apply for the Histon managers job lol

Who saw this coming? Actually easier if anyone who didn't see it coming replies. Crazy appointment. Also stupid of Hockaday to accept, I don't buy the 'it was too good to turn down' and 'if Leeds offer you the job you don't turn it down' arguments.
