1 day into the season and we suffer our first casualty!
Mark Robins of Huddersfield sacked!

Are you surprised Matt? A 4-0 home defeat to Bournemouth was fairly awful. Probably a decision based on pre-season preparedness as well.....

But 1 game? Come on, that's ridiculous!

You missed my point Imp. If the board was really unhappy with the pre-season preparations then the one game may well have been the icing on the cake. Make the change now with 21 days of the window left!

I appreciate that (it was similar to what Norwich did when Bryan Gunn was in charge, and that change worked very well), but you would have to feel for Robins, he is a much better manager than Gunn will ever be.

If I was a bookie who lost a lot of money on the first managerial casualty market I'd possibly be asking questions about the timing here. Wonder how many family & friends of the chairman had a bet on that happening

Norwich just rubbish on Gunn after he stepped into a job that nobody else wanted to take at the time,

That's initially what I though but have a feeling he's just Massimo Cellino 'yes man' So will last a bit longer than he should. We'll have to see though Too early to tell but a very lightweight performance against Millwall yesterday

He got the job because he'll be Cellinio's yes man indefinitely but he'll lose it almost as quickly as he's hopeless and Cellino sacked 30+ managers in 22 years at his last club. He'll soon lose patience in Hockaday.

It's got to be Dave Hockaday, he's clearly bitten off more than he can chew with Leeds and losing 2-0 to Millwall is not helping his situation. I reckon he won't last till christmas, especially with Cellino as the chairman.

I've put a few quid on Alan Irvine. I think giving a manager 1 game is still very harsh. He proved himself at Rotherham that he was a decent manager i thought.
