David Gilmour at The Royal Albert Hall on 30/9/16, great gig , just to have seen the guitar legend and experience live his guitar work was a joy, in the recent documentary about him he recalls his first memory as a child as running down Hills Road in Cambridge , he may not live here now but lots of the Pink Floyd music recall his Cambridge days , such as High Hopes, and of course they shoot a lot of the videos for their songs around Cambridge.

Four of us made the trek to Manchester to see Luna play their Penthouse album at Academy 3 last Wednesday. Superb.
Back in Manc this Friday with Mrs Sheffyoos to see Arab Strap. The Aiden Moffat and Malcolm Middleton version.

Myself and Mrs Pickles attended Indie Daze t'other week, and had the pleasure of seeing Thousand Yard Stare, Jim Bob, PWEI, Echobelly and EMF. An excellent day which I thoroughly recommend.
Next month we're off to the superb Shiine Weekender at Butlins again, where this year we'll see the likes of Shed Seven, Wonder Stuff, Ash etc.
Other upcoming gigs before the end of the year are Teenage Fanclub, The Levellers and Dinosaur Jr.
Lovely stuff.

Neurosis, Earth, Subhumans and Discharge the week just gone. The first three were great and in particular Neurosis. Discharge weren't as good as hoped.

Recently saw Dark Funeral, Krisiun and Satanic Assualt Division. Then Exodus, Obituary, Prong and King Parrot. Parrot and S.A.D. were fun, but not the best bands in the world. Obituary and Dark Funeral were great, but Exodus were a class above them all.
Off to see Entombed A.D., Voivod, Lord Dying and Morbid Evils next week, followed by Saxon and Girlschool a couple of days later.

Just waiting to confirm the date but it will be at Saffron Screen in Saffron Walden, midweek in November. Sorry Belly, only just seen this. Is it/did it happen(ing) ? It did happen and it sold out. I did the Q&A with Alan afterwards which was possibly the scariest thing I've done in my life. Turned out well though, he doesn't shut up when he starts talking. If you were a fan of Creation and the likes of House of Love, Teenage Fan Club, Primal Scream, Ride, Boo Radleys, Oasis, The Libertines then I'd highly recommend Alan Mcgee's book. It's bittersweet and bloody hilarious. A real trio back to the late 80's and early 90's. He took more drugs then the bands he managed and still somehow managed to run a label. He know manages Cast & The Happy Mondays and is meeting up with Corbyn next week.

Is that Creation Stories? I read that and it's really good. He clearly knows his stuff. He signed the greatest band of recent times(and Oasis did OK for him as well).
