The FA Cup has been dying a slow painful death ever since ManUre Nited refused to defend the trophy and didn`t enter the competition the year after winning it , preferring to play some pointless money-making games on the other side of the world instead The FA should just call their bluff and let teams who think they’re too important to have the inconvenience of FA Cup Replays withdraw from the competition for a minimum period of 10 years. Good luck explaining to their core English fanbase why it’s crucial that they do this so that they can play in a post-season tournament in China and free up room in the calendar for some pointless extra games in the early rounds of the European Super League.

Not even notified lower league clubs about the changes according to this bellend.
The big six are basically regulating the game now aren't they?. No wonder the premier league has spent so much energy warning about the impact of an independent regulator. They want to run it themselves.
It's not just them though I guess, it's small clubs like Brentford too. Thomas Frank was quite vocal about it earlier in the season.

I wouldn’t have thought that the TV companies - who ultimately fund the PL - are entirely happy with this either. They will lose those replay fixtures particularly those on free to air and ad revenue etc.
The FA cup has been devalued for years though since they moved the semis to Wembley and the Man U abstaining. I can still remember many of the finals from the 70 & 80’s but not many of the last few years. It used to be such a big occasion but not any more. Unfortunately though despite opposition the FA will cave in

Very strong statement from Tranmere there, and good for them. I hope multiple clubs follow suit and can give this a chance of being suspended or better still postponed permanently. However I'm not sure I trust the FA to listen as I'm sure a few backhanders have gone around.

It doesn't really make much sense to me. Are they saying that if, say, At Albans draw at home against a league 1 Birmingham next season they won't be able to get a massive payday at St Andrews because of Jürgen Klopp being a whiney bitch?

Let clubs choose beforehand. Both agree to end on the day, no replay. Both don't agree? Replay.
Sorted.

Let's boycott the FA Cup until they come to their senses! Maybe it'll speed up the overdue eviction notice for ‘the big six’ from our football pyramid.

The so called big clubs need to just F off to a European super league and play each other umpteen times a season until they bore everyone to death. Which wouldn’t take long. European football is mostly a big bore already anyway.

Let's boycott the FA Cup until they come to their senses! Maybe it'll speed up the overdue eviction notice for ‘the big six’ from our football pyramid. They'd just ignore it, the fake fans and tourists would continue to go to the big games. All in all they'll just twist it to fit their agenda and either scrap it or implement B teams or something equally depressing and belittling. The only time football had a backbone and it worked was the Super League protests and that only worked because the government decided to step in. Just see how they twisted the attendance figures for the B team trophy when the boycott first started and how much notice they took of it.
