According to a few locals they're going to experience a severe budget cut in the summer. Not before time. Can't see Stockley being there next season. Hopefully it'll force them into accepting a cut-price offer for Sarpong-Wiredu but I doubt it sadly.

Lets face it, how sad would anyone be if FGR and Fleetwood ended up back at their proper levels? To be fair to them, FGR were a long standing fifth tier club before Vince got involved, but Fleetwood had never even seen the dizzy heights of the Conference North until the crook invested. They were Histon levels at best.

So the PL have got their way with some bribe money and FA cup replays will no longer happen after the First round proper: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68844583 Another nail in the coffin of this once prestigious competition. Though at least they have made some good changes around FA cup final weekend and the latter stages taking place solely at weekends again.

Sickening ......and look at that 4th Round Quote too "The fourth round will be played in an extended window from Friday to Wednesday". Likely to be February time of course, so expect quite a few postponements in the mix due Weather !

So the entire competition has to bend over because of half a dozen teams having the absolute ballache of playing in Europe with squads big enough to form a separate league. Class.

Strengthen my arse.
Why must we keep bending over backwards for the clubs that have shown, by and large, they don't much give a fig until they get to the semis anyway?
It's not the Chelsea 1 - 0 Manure 2007 final that people talk about when they talk about the magic of the cup. It's Newport beating Leicester 2-1. It's Cambridge getting to the quarter finals two years in a row. It's Havant scaring Liverpool after beating one Garry Monk's Swansea. It's the replays. It's the plucky underdogs. It's the goalkeeper eating a pie on the bench. It's the Tuesday nights under the floodlights.
It's not an endless bloody rerun of the top six barely making an effort until they meet each other and the "real" competition starts.

Absolute rubbish this is.
The majority of premier league teams play a minimum of 40 games a season (38 league and 2 cups if knocked out in the first round) - leagues below have 46 with just the league. What are they complaining about?!?!?! They have better facilities, nutrition, recoveries and pitches + less games cancelled so less risk of fixture pile ups.
FA bending over to essentially 6-8 clubs and forcing the hundreds of others to follow suit. Wish they'd bollocksed off to the European Super League.

Utterly shameful but sadly not in the least bit surprising. The FA Cup has been dying a slow painful death ever since ManUre Nited refused to defend the trophy and didn`t enter the competition the year after winning it , preferring to play some pointless money-making games on the other side of the world instead. Their punishment for sh*tting all over the greatest cup competition in the world? F*** all.
