Bayern Munich have made an official complaint to UEFA regarding the actions of the Spanish police for their game vs Real Madrid. Seems to be a constant here. Almost as if it wasn't completely down to Leicester fans last week.

Great game was getting into that. Champions!
Shame for Ledson that's he's injured or he would have been in the squad for this. Still he must be chuffed for his mates as he's been part of this group all the way through from under 16s.

Here's an idea, how about the Premier League clubs these lads belong to consider giving them some proper exposure to first team football instead of meaningless cup fixtures? That's the only way this group will continue to grow and progress to fully fledged internationals. Too many "cheap" foreign imports taking squad places these lads should be filling.

I totally agree with you. The current England team are a joy to watch. For the first time in 8 years, i'm looking forward to an England team putting in a great effort.

2 - 2, going to ET. Beware a penalty shoot out against the Germans!

Aaahhhh, the predictability and inevitability of a penalty shoot out defeat to the Germans!

On Talksport, during the commentary, they gave a stat about top flight appearances in either team. Germany averaged 60 despite the fact that the goalie has made none. England were somewhere around 30. That would be a fair bit lower without Ward-Prowse who has about 140. German clubs are in the most part owned by Germans. They see it as an honour to bring international talent through their clubs. English teams are mostly owned by foreigners who couldn't give a rat's are how England do. It has got to change.

I often here people blame the foreign owners (or coaches) for England's woes but I think that's a load of crap to be honest. Do any English owners or coaches put country before club? I can't see any evidence for that. You can find lots to the contrary though, for instance Arsenal were English owned when they were the first club to field a team entirely of foreigners.
Southampton are foreign owned but have done more than any other club in recent years for developing English talent. They do it because it helps their club (much like the German clubs I'd imagine). Does Pochettino (or previously the likes of Ferguson) do so much for English youngsters because they give a crap about how the English national team does? I doubt it. It's all about what's best for their clubs.
I don't disagree that it would be good if our young players got more first team games though obviously. The fact that English football is awash with TV cash doesn't help but we weren't exactly winning loads of tournaments or producing loads of talent before the PL era either.
Also the eligible players who have got loads of club appearances behind them - Dier, Stirling, Stones, Rashford etc are almost considered too good to play for the under 21s so that doesn't help those stats or our chances of winning youth tournaments.
