Apparently it’s because the United commentary team did it last time we played them and the BBC don’t want to pay for two sets of commentators

Great, let them choke on their words as we put them to the sword, then make pathetic excuses to explain it away. Sounds rather appealing?

They've done a half each in previous games. Can't see why that shouldn't be the case this time! In fact, why can't we have a "home" and "away" choice, like the iFollow screenings?

Is it beyond comprehension to at least attempt a balance by having 1 from each although the presenter will no doubt be wearing his “I love a bit of posh” underpants!

I won’t be listening - don’t get the fascination of a pointless game in a pointless competition

Who cares who the commentators are for this reserve team game? Pointless game in a pointless competition.
Continue the boycott!

Bought my pass but will turn off the sound (regardless of the competition it's scum and our club need revenue)

Bought my pass but will turn off the sound (regardless of the competition it's scum and our club need revenue) How much revenue do United get, how much goes to iFollow, how much in VAT and how much will the scum get? Better ways to give the club the whole tenner.

Some people more upset by a Peterb*rough commentary team than they are by this farce of a competition surprises me a little.
Obviously to each their own and all that.

But in these times any revenue is better than no revenue plus it's Scum Each to their own I just love my football team and have done for over 60 years now Nobody will stop me from seeing and supporting them if I can (and some have tried over the years - Northampton 1970's, Newcastle 1980's spring to mind) Up the U's!

Bless. Well, you just keep on giving B teams the thumbs up and it will be seen as acceptable. And if you think this is a proper game against the scum then you need your head testing.

I find it truly amazing that anyone can still have that attitude to the most dangerous competition in English football when at least two premier managers have said that B Teams in the league is the way forward. Sure, it is only two football managers, but this "there is no appetite for it" is obviously complete rubbish. Throw in the possibility of clubs going to the wall, money from Premier League clubs being the only option to keep them afloat and the "deals with the devil" that would require. Yet there are still people willing to say to the FA "Yes, I fully accept reserve teams in professional football competitions". To those that still tell me I'm stupid for having such an attitude. If I had said to you 5 years ago, there will be a professional football competition, however they will allow B teams to take part in it - you would have called my stupid then. Yet here we are.

I don't count this upcoming reserve game as a proper game against Pish, just like the other two games against them in this farce of a competition don't count. The 0-0 draw in that friendly we had in memory of Chris Turner was a bigger game than these reserve games.
No matter what happens next Tuesday, even if we win, us and Pish have beaten eachother 14 times and drawn 11 times. That won't change until we play them in a proper professional first team competition.
