I have not attended a single match in this Trophy since they ruined it with B teams, and it’s unlikely that I’ll change that tonight, even if it’s seemingly making no difference to the EFL’s stance on this competition. I am sure there are many fans who never miss any games that will definitely be there though. Hang in there PJ - not going is better than having blood on your hands if the EFL and PL take this to the next level. I didn’t get to go in the end but I have major doubts about the effectiveness of any so called boycott. I think most people can make their own mind up about what games they go to

I think most people can make their own mind up about what games they go to “So called boycott”?? Look at the crowds for this pathetic competition compared to what they used to be and I’d say it’s an actual boycott. If the Premier League see this as a successful experiment then the next logical step for them is obvious. Let’s just ensure it is unsuccessful at least from a supporter’s viewpoint.

If people want to go, fine. If people want to boycott, fine.
But the big guns will not give one hoot about any of it. They get what they want, and, that won’t be ‘B’ teams in the FL.

A sold out wembley final? By two teams who are big enough to aspire to enter their own U21 teams in the competition in the future and would be little affected by B teams in the pyramid.

In fairness, the boycott would be better if all league 1 and 2 teams boycotted.

What do you think they’ll want instead? Just carry on entering them in these tinpot tournaments? I definitely think the big guns will want b-teams in the football league. Makes perfect sense from their perspective. Will make even more sense if some first teams join some sort of super league set up which also looks inevitable at some point. Think it’ll happen eventually - just a question of if not when Imo, at present FL clubs are fairly powerless to stop it unless they become less reliant on central cash. See EPPP

See EPPP I think they'd probably prefer to be able to "adopt" a L2 side, send 6 or 8 players along with a coach on a season long loan. They don't have the inconvenience of staging games, opening grounds etc. So who fancies being Arsenal's nursery side?

Seems it won’t be an Arsenal kids side Tuesday. Heard yesterday that Xhaka and Ozil are training with the 23s and in the squad for Tuesday.
