The Premier League bribe is nowhere near enough. They're just slinging loose change as they kick our dog. Still, I watched the game on ifollow because watching this team is always a joy.

No, obviously not - I don't seriously expect anyone to want Bonner out because of his support for the trophy. I just find your willingness to call out the 133 U's fans who travelled to Rotherham to support the team on a freezing cold night in January a bit unnecessary. Me and others who have called these "supporters" out have explained time and time again why we do so. At the very least they are extremely naive and short sighted. The same sort of people who cross picket lines. Are picket lines still a thing? And is the so called EFL Trophy “boycott” a political (left v right) issue ?

What does it matter if there are a few B teams in the competition? So what, its hardly going to be the end of league football is it?

Clearly looking forward to our East Anglian derby against Norwich Canaries in League 2 and the excitement of watching Manchester Citizens, Merseyside Red and West London Blue battle it out for the League 1 title for the fifth successive season.

On the flip side, not attending a competition that had low attendances already & making a few disparaging comments on a message board is hardly sticking it to the man and showing them that they couldn't possibly introduce B teams. The competition before B teams did have attendances lower than league games that is true but they would still get couple thousand at games, I know I was always one of them. When the boycott started attendances for clubs around the country dropped to 400-700. That was a massive statement, especially for people who love their club so much and put so much value in attending games. The reason supporters are angry at fans is because slowly but surely more and more people have given in and returned.

What does it matter if there are a few B teams in the competition? So what, its hardly going to be the end of league football is it? Just a few in a mickey mouse cup, then just a few in the lower leagues, then just a few making their way up the leagues...

Yes picket lines are still a thing, and if workers still get fucked over then they'll remain a thing. Well the football clubs most at danger from B teams are all at the heart of working class communities, so if B teams in the trophy are the wedge in the door that people fear then it's very much a class issue.

Yep and then they’ll stop them from being promoted from League 1, then you get the top three all being B teams so no promotion then the closed shop the Prem/Champ want. Remember Gartside and his comment to stop relegation from the Championship? It’s all in their minds to “protect their brand”. Can’t believe anyone is remotely comfortable about us playing in the same cup as B Teams, thin end of the wedge is already in.

Germany have B teams and they don't dominate the 3rd tier (and German football has lots to admire about it like ticket prices etc...) But then some people do not like change, and would rather we were in the days of 1 match at best on TV & MotD instead of the amount of football we can watch now. Even IF B teams were allowed in the league, AND were 1,2 & 3, it could easily be the top 3 non-B teams get promoted even if they were 4,5,6 for example. But then I don't think B teams would be allowed into the league as owners would not want that. I don't recall seeing demand (especially from us in last few years) that we open up L2 to 3 conference teams as the difference between the 2 leagues is marginal. That would be a fairer thing to do wouldn't it? But then the same people who are so anti B teams are probably also the ones that decry new teams coming up like FGR, Crawley and other 'tinpot' clubs while lamenting the 'proper clubs' like Wrexham. Personally I don't really have an opinion either way, no problem with B teams in or out. of this trophy.

A lot of what-iffery, false equivalences and enough straw manning to have a very large bonfire there.
