My mistake. They were world-beating.

Raynor excelled with his world-beating track and trace marking style.

Lewis played for us at a higher level then Carden did, and outscored him in less appearances. I'm not saying Lewis is better or anything, Carden was the heart of one of the best U's teams I've watched. But I wouldn't say Lewis was crap, he was consistently ordinary in a very average squad, and came up with the odd goal which was useful. It was (mostly) tongue-in-cheek as he was always a popular scapegoat on here. Although I liked the idea of Paul Lewis far more than the reality. Anyway, welcome to the U's other Paul.

Ian? [/quote No that'll be Paul Asbo Atkins. Also not Crap just a youngstre who didn't quite make the transition to first team.

The tackle on 29 seconds of that video, and the one at 1.22 - I'm sold.. Especially as he seems to have a decent pass on him. Looks you have a really good presence in midfield I agree but why is he released after 1 year by his last 4 clubs. ---- hole ? I hope not.

Baby was born at the Rosie so maybe he's putting down roots here and means he'll stay with a new deal. Good news all round.

Congratulations Paul x
I'm enjoying these threads being brought back - "hints of Ashbee". Indeed.

Nah, but from his spell there that's the general area where he's put his southern roots I assume. Would explain why he did the season ticket delivery at my house (in Royston).

Someone said Steve Evans was spotted in the maternity ward eating a Mars bar in his pants… He had a Mars bar in his pants? And he can bend like Nureyev too?
