Wrong Jez, this one used to be Marvin and a squad member IIRC.

Will lose 3-0 then the board will come out saying what a good job Derry is doing. And give Derry a five year contract extension .

Didn’t it kick off outside supporters club the last time Lincoln played us ? That was back in the Conference days(the last season), that was a Friday night too, I recall? I think you may have that slightly wrong. When we played Lincoln in 2004-5 in this division there was trouble outside the supporters club, if I recall. Our next home meeting with them after they were relegated to the Conference was on a Friday night, with police lined up and down Ditton Walk. The last home fixture in 2013-14 was on a Saturday.

I'm looking forward to it, about time we had another Friday night fixture. Takes me back to the days of Saint and Greavsie on a Saturday lunchtime and being able to watch ours (and Tranmere's) goals from the previous night. As for this match, about time Derry gets a good result. 2-2. 2-2 against a team with Lincoln's current form is hardly a good result. A solid defence and forwards who act less like headless chickens in front of goal will see a winning performance, otherwise it will be more of 'how didn't we win that'. A draw at home to anyone in our league is not a good result, but with Derry in charge any points gained is a bonus, especially if we manage to score 2 goals.

Ah, it was the Saturday in that final Conf season.I wasn’t there but they either stormed(or dumbo doorman let them) in and it kicked off a bit. One Utd fan was banned which was later rescinded.

Nice to see that Lincoln’s match has gone to extra time, all that lovely lactic acid stored up for Saturday.

Lincoln are off to Wembley.
No doubt they'll travel in numbers as for some strange reason they take this farcical competition seriously. The EFL officials will then use the one game to show how wonderful the Checkatrade is and will call it a massive success, like they did when Coventry won last season, and we'll be stuck with B teams for another season.

I watched the match on sky and if not already mentioned on other threads, means a lot to Lincoln fans because they’ve never played at Wembley before.
My only point is that I hope our head coach and his staff were at the match, or at least watching on tv, with a view as to how to set up our team on friday with best players available to combat a very poor and dated version of John becks mighty u’s back in the day.

I'd like to think so but I suspect SD and the coaching team were catching up with episodes of Pointless (his favourite TV quiz show as that word sums him up to a tee) on the BBC i Player whilst jotting down which excuses (that aren't excuses) in order for his post-match interview with Johnno on Friday night after we lose to a late goal... a lot of injuries, hard team to beat, some of the players aren't match fit, they've done well to reach the final of the Mickey Mouse Cup, they were fired up after beating Chelsea Under 11's on Pens, fine lines and margins, I'm not one to walk away, The fans could have been louder etc etc blah blah blah blah....

They've never played at Wembley! I had assumed every traditional football league club had by now. Any others that haven't? If any Lincoln fans read this then Wembley is an awful place. Terrible. Old Wembley at least had character.
