Ah very clever Dylan, surprise 2-1 victory based on pure hope and a dodgy ref.

Hard-fought, edgy, low-quality game lit up by a moment of Lankesterian quality to give us an unexpected & much-needed 2-1 win after controversial penalties for both sides. Sometimes it's not how you get over the line, just that you did.
I'd like to see us have Brophy and Tracey in the positions they should be – with Smith through the middle, as that trio should give excellent options for Lankester's passing – but think it's more likely the former will be dropped for the latter & we'll have Smith and Ironside in their usual places.

Ref is Carl Boyeson who first reffed a United game over 20 years ago (3-1 away win at Boston)

Oh. This was intended as a "Come and start me" plea, not the actual thing.
In good faith I have not broken my solemn oath.
1-3.

This thread title is alarming. Is glove puppet bear back?

I still remember those long gone, far off days when Dylan's match thread titles represented all that was good and right about the world.

I think we'll end our losing streak here, but we also won't win. 1-1 for me. Should be another bumper crowd.

Can’t wait for the white flag to be waved by Bonner tomorrow. We all know Wednesday are a massive side in this division. It’s not what the players need to be hearing before the game. I think 0-2. And we will play PLAN A. Just play 442 with good old fashioned winger’s.

Funny how the general tenor of his press conferences was identical last season and in the season we got promoted, yet seemingly not a problem then.
Also funny how it's only ever a complaint people make when we lose a few games and not something he's praised for in managing expectations when we pull out good results.
Anyone want to dig out his comments from before the Newcastle game? Or the win against Wigan? Were they materially different before the tight loss against Sunderland than they were before the thrashing? What about before getting pumped by Lincoln last year and comfortably beating them this season?

Some people never wanted Bonner in charge, have failed to give him credit for the job done thus far, and will take any opportunity to criticise him. Just have a quick scan through the post history of people who crop up at times of poor form and it speaks volumes.
I find it really odd. At least with supposed ‘happy clappers’ you can assume those people just want to support their club, take the positives and enjoy the experience - what is in it for those who are ceaselessly critical? I have some sympathy for them because it must be truly miserable, and it’s telling that what irks them more than anything is people being positive. They hate it!
