What’s with the purple socks? Or is it a trick of the light? We didn't realise until we got there that we had the same colour socks. So we used their away socks

18th July - Newmarket Town Vs Cambridge United XI Presumably that means youth team. Not seen it announced officially anywhere?

So that's 3 friendlies that aren't behind closed doors. I get the feeling they just can't be arsed to arrange ticket sales for the Wales/Cardiff game, if one does happen.

Last time we played Cardiff they did a BEAMBACK so maybe that'll happen again if we play them again.
Or I think some people watched from a hill or something?

Yeah first year it was broadcast internationally because of covid restrictions, but last year was ticketed and there was an invasion in the capital (again).

It would be nice if we could make it a traditional fixture each pre-season. A handy benchmark for both clubs.

With the club offering degree courses with USW, I'd imagine it'll be a regular thing. Not sure where the link has come from between us and Cardiff but I'm all for it.

Cardiff, spurs kids and Gillingham. All behind closed doors.
Cardiff will have a BEAMBACK though

A nice and convenient 3pm kick off on a Friday for the Cardiff game. Really don't want us to see it do they 😭

Behind closed doors, but being screened by Cardiff TV. A 3pm kick off is going to make it hard to watch for most people.
Fair play though really, pre-season isn't about supporters sonim not too bothered
(Plus I'll be able to watch it, so that helps)
