Brophy starting on the right? Looks like the theme from the end of the season is set to continue! I think he did well on the right and does offer Liam a lot of protection. I agree, he seemed to get himself more involved with creating chances too. Link up with Rennett on the overlap looks a dangerous combination |

Yeah, Brophy had a few goal contributions when playing on the right. He seemed to get a little more involved centrally and that allowed Lennett to push quite high without occupying the same space.
I was worried it might prevent Lennett from moving inside as he is prone to do, but they seem to have decent understand on that front.

Looks like they're wearing their squad numbers and Lankester is wearing the number 10. Based on this formation and the number, I wonder if we can look forward to him playing centrally more consistently this season?

We didn't play him anywhere but in the hole for the entirety of the second half of last season, so I think we can say that's set now. Perhaps we'll see him out on the right occasionally if we're desperate for cover, but I don't think we'll do it out of choice often, if at all. |

Is 22 minutes into pre season too early to say Hoddle is our best player?! Very exciting prospect and love that he's bossing where the ball goes etc. despite being the youngest on the pitch
