Waiting for November when an Okenabirhie injury coupled with an Ahadme barren streak sees people calling for Hoddle to be "thrown in" up front because he "couldn't be any worse", "what harm could it do" and "if you're good enough, you're old enough".

After some gave up on survival and wanted to throw the youth in with 12 games still to go I'd hope we're beyond such suggestions.
So yeah, can't wait.

All about fitness...
A couple of good saves from Stevens (although one was with his feet so might not count 🤷♂️).
Not much is happening but I'd guess Bonner is happy enough with the shape, work rate and all that boring pre-seaon guff.

Not much to take from that other than it’s nice to watch the U’s again. Stevens looks comfortable in goal but hasn’t had to make any difficult saves. Hopefully the second half will be a bit more lively!

Is 22 minutes into pre season too early to say Hoddle is our best player?! Very exciting prospect and love that he's bossing where the ball goes etc. despite being the youngest on the pitch Waiting for a thread on whether we should have loaned Hoddle out You've gone early with that one, the window hasn't shut yet! I hear Walsall have eyes on him. |
