Reading are in trouble again. A 1 point deduction and a further 3 points suspended. Plus a number of sanctions against their Chinese owner. This is due to them not paying on time last seasons wages. They should be ok with cash flow for now whilst there is the season ticket money in the bank. By all accounts come Nov/Dec the cycle will start again. The house of cards ( or should we say biscuits) will come crashing down. Unless that is they can find a new owner.

Wigan spanking Bolton at half time.
Nice to see Charlie Wyke back. I had assumed he retired.

Wigan really are proving to be a box of surprises this season.

Greater Manchester derby not going as expected for Bolton, jesus. That's Wigan's deduction cleared with some change to spare.
Maybe Wigan are a threat to our title ambitions after all.

Wigan 29% possession, who needs the ball to win?

I see Charlton lost again. Early days and all that but given their history of under delivering in this league I wouldn't be surprised if they stayed right were they are.

It's a great night to be a U!
I'm still very conscious that we started with 13 points from 7 games last season and followed it up with 17 points from 30 games!
But if someone had said, as we drove up to Port Vale on 1 April, that we'd stay up on the last day and then be top of the league for a week in late August, I wouldn't have believed them.
Target remains 50 points. Hopefully we can do that early enough in the season to start looking up, but that's still the big aim.
Whatever happens between now and May though, I'm going to enjoy tonight.

Speaking of Port Vale, battered 7-0 on opening day and then 7 points from 9 since. And now above Barnsley who dished out the pasting.

The new itv highlights show is absolute guff. Done away with any sort of discussion or punditry and just rattle through the goals while the presenter is at a championship ground. Makes it pretty much pointless to watch.
