The new itv highlights show is absolute guff. Done away with any sort of discussion or punditry and just rattle through the goals while the presenter is at a championship ground. Makes it pretty much pointless to watch. I thought the point of watching it was to see the goals not listen to awful punditry.

Spot on, 99.9% of punditry is utter tripe, the best highlights I've ever seen was the motd after linekargate.
State of Ainsworth shirt.

I like the punditry if we are doing well and it's complimentary. If we didn't do well i wouldn't be watching it anyway!

When we’re top of League 1, I want punditry coming out of my ears

I see Charlton lost again. Early days and all that but given their history of under delivering in this league I wouldn't be surprised if they stayed right were they are. Andrew I really don't rate Holden as a manager whatsoever.

I like to see a bit of discussion from neutrals about the games.

You're probably only going to find that on the various podcasts out there. We don't typically get much of a mention but you'd hope being top might change that a tad.

Noticed half the teams in League one have played 3 of their first four games away. Bit of a weird way to have the fixture list no?
I know it evens out at the end of the season but can't imagine the teams with that start are happy.

I know it evens out at the end of the season but can't imagine the teams with that start are happy. The fixture list is a bit bizarre for the first couple of months. As you say teams like us have played 3/4 at home. Then between September 9th and October 13th we’ve got one Saturday home league fixture. This is before Sky start moving games as well. What ever happened to alternate weekends home & away.

I've always been unfancied, so I'm used to it. Feels great to be featured in the press, even upmarket listicles like this one

My instinct is to be generous to Barton (I know!), and think that he used the word 'bizarrely' when the sense he was trying to convey would have been better served by an alternative.
'Surprisingly'?
