Our last 3 home league matches have had 7k+ attendances. Only one of those was a 'significant' game, even if it was against Forest Green.
This is awesome.
Seeing the whole of the Habbin rammed was a beautiful sight last night.
What is the club doing to make this happen? The growth in crowds is the best thing that's happening right now, and there's a lot to be very excited about. Yes, we've only had two games but so far our attendances are well over 1.5k higher than two seasons ago on average.
I'd also like to know whether other clubs attendances growing at the same rate ours is - is this a post-covid thing?

Some credit must go to the CEO: ticketing initiatives, sprucing the place up, fan zones, Junior U's revival.
'Match day experience' is a bit cringey but perhaps it does make a difference to the new school U's?

I'd like to know when the last time we had an early season League match with an attendance of 7500 - must be some time ago, if ever? Let's face it, anything above 5000 for a Tuesday evening is quite rare.
It certainly bucks the trend of low early season attendances that we discussed on here recently, highlighting different reasons why that might be the case.

I thought our gates were outstanding last season, incredible really with our form and performances. Still can't quite believe what's happened this season.

I don’t know what’s happening but long may it continue. It’s probably an amalgamation of lots of things - league position, community work, etc - but long may it continue.
Often see kids in United shirts around the county now which was so rarely the case a decade ago.

Home crowd of about 6200 yesterday which is excellent.
I can't remember what it was for Oxford but my feeling is that for home attendees last night was higher.

Yep more home fans than the Oxford game . I guess tickets going fast makes people make a decision to go, friends go along too and it grows. Not that it can grow much more, sustain , yes.

Will be interested to see Saturday's attendance. One defeat to bring in the fair weather factor?
Having said that, money is, of course, a factor and perhaps many will go to only one of the two home games in a week.

Think it's an accumulation of factors. Initiatives to improve the off-pitch/match-day experience paying off, work in the community, allure of L1 football, feel-good factor after promotion and the good first year back, Bonner, demographics (how many people who first got the bug the year we got promoted to L2/first season back in the league now have increased disposable income/kids of an age to bring, how many kids got swept up in the promotion season watching via iFollow who are relishing being able to go live etc), squeeze on big-ticket-item spending (eg. holidays) bringing stuff like local football back onto the agenda...
I was amazed at how our attendances held up last season. This season's are so far are just a continuation of that. Can't see them staying at quite the level they are now, but we've definitely taken a step forward as a club attendance-wise, there's no doubt about that. The sooner we can get the stadium expanded, the better.

The sooner we can get the stadium expanded, the better. This is crux of it all. When we're talking about a league game on a Tuesday being down to singles and released season tickets only, we really do have an opportunity in our hands. Or the SC's hands. We'll kick ourselves for a long time if it all comes to nothing.

Main stand selling quickly for Saturday and South Habbin already available. I bought a season ticket this year to ensure I had a decent seat later in year if we were going well. Never expected “sell outs” in August.

This is getting silly now! 💛 With a redeveloped Abbey, playing at this level, 10k regular crowds no longer sounds like a fantasy.
