Lincoln have really picked up on attendances and that's the model we should follow they gave a lot of tickets out to youngsters in the knowledge they bring parents and hopefully make long term fans out of them once the new NRE is built the club should cost it cheaper for younger ones to fill it.

The 7,700 odd for the derby will bump our average. Anyone got a figure for non-cup home matches? Our current home average is 6,614, 5,844 home fans and 770 away. We sit 18th in the attendance league, just behind Exeter (6,718) and just ahead of Shrewsbury (6,302) The division average is 9,579, but this is somewhat skewed by Derby (26,670) and Bolton (20,638). The bog-dwellers are averaging 8,744 and Lincoln 8,283; both are down on last season. Lincoln's attendances have been dropping for four seasons, after a high of around 9,000 in 2018/19 There are six teams with attendances that seem to be close to the median: Oxford, Pish, Carlisle, Orient, Lincoln and Bristol Rovers - range 8,100 - 8,900; this seems to be where we need to aspire to get to post-redevelopment. Our average last season was 6,195 (5,347 home, 848 away), so our attendances are up 419 or 7% (home up 497 or 9%, away down 78 or 9%) Conversely, the division's average is down around 10% (mostly due to losing Ipswich and Sheffield Wed); if you correct for the impact on attendances promoted/relegated clubs then this season's average is pretty much the same as last season's, so our 8% increase looks very impressive indeed.

The rise in attendance is especially good when you think of the quality of football on display this season and last. Will really pick up if we can combine a competitive/winning team with the new development.

How many are Portsmouth getting? They're usually convinced they're pretty massive?

Yes if we lose Pompey, Derby and Bolton this year that will have an effect on next years followings. Out of the bottom 9 in the Championship at present I imagine only Sheff Wed and possibly Stoke likely to have big away followings (we might get more from QPR/Millwall too I guess).
Bigger clubs coming up from League 2 may offset this a little mind.

Think Wednesday will stay up tbh. QPR/Millwall will both sell out what we give them mind.
Coming up I'd imagine Notts County would too if they make it, who knows with Wrexham, if it falls right then maybe.
It's not like we've got a 7k away end like some clubs do, so I wouldn't dwell on it too much compared to our survival!
