Very Very disappointed we didn’t have the Poppies on our shirt today. Posh did, the Refs did we did not. It’s pissed me off more than the result.

At least you can find solace that a giant rabbit and a man with Skip for a Head showed respect on this solemn occasion.

Heh. Didn't notice. I don't think it bothers me.
I turned up at Aldi at 11:00 today and was refused entrance while they have a 2 minute silence, so I stood and paid respect by...mainly thinking about the game, if I'm honest.
Some chap got the hump though and tried to force his way in shouting "what respect!? They're dead!!" while his partner filmed presumably in the hope they'd go viral and that they weren't the morally bankrupt ones.
Bit odd to refuse entry, even odder to get upset about 2 minutes. I came away thinking everyone is an angry bellend apart from me...and I'm an angry bellend so that's quite the achievement.
Anyway, off to social chat we go.

Not a weird post at all. Disappointed that our club doesn't deem it fit to have a poppy on their shirt. Be interested to know the clubs thinking behind this?

Maybe the kit manufacturer screwed up or the club decided 20+ shirts being worn once is wasteful.

I think minutes silences/applause should be football related only.
Of course they could have done something at 11am before I'm accused of being disrespectful, got nothing against this particular event.

We go again.

Bonner had one, and we've gone one on our socials fwiw.
It's not something that bothers me...it's perhaps an odd oversight in an era where football is to be seen paying respect to everything though.
On another note, the last post is an awful tune and I've never heard it played without a mistake. It's got to the point where I think it was written with the mistakes factored in.

Hope you got home Ok. Cos really that's all that matters.

Andrew, of your 15658 posts so far I've disagreed with you 3 times before. This is now the 4th. Put bluntly it was used in WW1 as a time for the soldiers to stand down because none of them would have had watches. They just knew that was the time that none of them would be killed that day. The quivering, wavering and crackling makes it it all the more beautiful and poignant considering what then happened.

I know I’ll get shot down in flames but people do get their knickers in a twist over this. Anyhoo good to see the people who get most upset by the nonexistent poppy ban protecting the cenotaph from a non existent threat today…

Giving up 2 minutes of my time to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many is a very small price to pay in my opinion
