Sneaky suspicion it will be a 1-1 match.
Plenty of endeavour but lacking a cutting edge.

I might start a MUST WIN scale. I'm putting this as 2/10. I don't think any reasonable fan thinks it's a 'must win' game that defines a season, more to start rebuilding the relationship of the fans to the players who played their part in that horror show at London Road. There are a lot of fans out there who are hurt and scarred by that game, and winning tomorrow will go some way to start healing those wounds, especially against another (kind of) rival. As much as I'd love to be there tomorrow, part of me is glad I'm not, because if we lose and throw in another shocker, it's going to be toxic.

In fairness I think it was TwatX where I saw someone describing it as must win - although Jerry got close. Certainly a, would be very healthy to win, game though as you say!

I wouldn't say must win but it's a must not lose. If we want ambitions of being out the scrap come the end of the year these are the games to pick any sort of points up from After last game we just have to avoid losing, take a boring 0-0 right now (although i'd rather see some attacking intent)

Its more about the reaction tomorrow. The Players and management need to show some pride and endeavour tomorrow and put in a performance. Its not a must win in as its November and we could lose to a dodgy refeering decision but those watching there and from afar will want to see some fight and energy tomorrow. Hopefully they do and we come away with 3 points.

It suggests to me that there would be some kind of consequence to losing. I wouldn't go as far as saying you should only say it when you're about to be mathematically relegated or a manager is 100% going to be sacked, but I think you have to be somewhat near those kind of outcomes. It's just a football irritation of mine (alongside referees being anal about which blade of grass to take a free-kick from but allowing a throw in to be taken 30 yards down the line so enable a quick unopposed throw back to the kepper - but that's a rant for another day)

Yeah, definite must perform energy from this one rather than 'must win'.
The week off and even the new training ground ramp up that 'must perform' feeling for me, what else can we possibly provide to give them a good build up to this game?

Andrew Exactly the term I was thinking of. No game at this stage is going to make or break a season. But a terrible performance on the back of our recent humiliation could do serious damage, where a good one could go some way to mending bridges and dampening fires.

To add balance to the comment I made earlier, I didn't say 'must win', rather 'really do need to win', and the difference (it is all semantics of course, but meaning is crucial!) between the two statements comes down to what Vess and others have said above - the critical need to put that horror show at London Road to bed at the first opportunity. Clearly we won't be relegated if we lose tomorrow, and Bonz probably won't be sacked if we get relegated this season either, but just like last season our progress has stalled of late and I am sure I am not the only one fearful of a lean Autumn turning into a gloomy turn of the year where we are all hoping beyond hope for some meaningful January recruitment.
At least last season we had January to look forward to so that the squad could be strengthened. I'm not convinced if we have that option this year - the suqad is larger than it was a year ago and we don't have many meaningful injuries. So our continued inability to score goals whilst relying on what is broadly a decent defence to churn out tight results, with us nicking the odd win is why when you then get a reverse like two weeks ago the emotions will naturally be raised when we next take to the field. I'm actually quite concerned that our early season promise was no more than a flash in the pan and unless we get back to a winning mentality that it is going to be a long winter. Lets hope I'm completely wrong.

250 tickets available on the day. The pain of the previous away match is maybe still too raw for some
