Spoke to a Cobbler on a fiction discord and he expects a large home support for this one, so the atmosphere should be electric. "Not many home tickets left either, should be pretty full" I've had to Google search 'fiction discord' and I'm none the wiser. It's definitely the children who are out of touch. I like to read. Any old dross will do. So RoyalRoad has a load of aspiring writers. Once they get a bit of a following they set up a discord to discuss chapters as they come out. Like a beta book club. Player Manager on there is worth reading.

Eh? A long way? I think he is being a bit negative there. We have been a lot further behind. Same table is good. Sometimes beating them is great. Something to build on.

What’s lost on that interview from Bonner in our record defeat against Boro - is the manner of the loss. If we genuinely competed but were outclassed 2-0 or 3-0 then fine. However the floodgates opened and we lacked any tactical cohesion. The players downed tools in one of the biggest fixtures in the calendar.
Tomorrow is a big day for Bonner - I want a reaction from the team.

I'm assuming he's forgotten about the bloke who has been here for 11 seasons in that injury report?
Was on the injury list on that training ground video anyway.

Sorry, but reading about Zeno Rossi having a scan on his calf that he picked up coming off the pitch, I can only picture him in my head now carrying a small cow whilst in full kit. Sounds like the poor lad is going to take over from Haunstrup in being the physio’s new best mate.

Quotes from that interview:
"We're miles behind (the best teams in this league) "We're not as good as them (the best teams)" "It'll continue happening (getting heavily beaten by the best teams)"
If I were in the squad I'm pretty certain I wouldn't want to hear this. It would drain my morale and make me think I wasn't very good.
We've got a couple of players with Premier league experience, several with a lot of championship and most with a lot of league 1 experience. Can't help but think statements like this will get their back up.
And also by saying things like this - which seems to be his default after heavy losses - he's then writing us off as miles behind about 10 teams in this league at least. Peterborough are 9th in the attendance figures. As one way of measuring club size, that means we're not competitive against nearly half the league.
No wonder heads dropped so quickly when we went 1-0 down against posh. The players have likely soaked up the mentality of 'well they're miles better than us so not much we can do now'.
This 'little old cambridge' mentality has got to stop. It's doing us no favours.

If they read it like that instead of as a challenge to improve then they can get out in January.
We'll see what their response is and who we move forward with in January I guess, but I think Bonner has just taken some of the heat off them while at the same time challenged them to make up the difference, that's how I'd see it if I was a footballer.
