I'm hoping Cobblers will be this seasons nadir, as half-time at home to Charlton was last season.
The players have to get themselves fired up for this one and have a right good go.
Even so, I'm thinking it'll be 2-0 or 0-2... first goal will be the killer.

Expect we'll see the lowest home crowd of the season so far (cup excepted): miserable run of form, mid-week, -1˚C at kick-off, pre-payday for many...

We are either going to put in a Pompey style performance and get a 1 or 2-0 win and everyone's mood will be lifted or it will another loss with out scoring and the Abbey will become toxic. Lots of disgruntlement at full time on Saturday & Pish but thats on the road. Home form has been better and the crowd have largely been positive and on side. That could change if we put in another display like Saturday. Crowd will probably be the lowest for a league game as I can't see Lincoln travelling like they would on a Saturday either.

Haven’t got much optimism for this game. Didn’t see anything from our tactics and style of play that leads me to believe we are going to win any games playing like that. Another goalless 1st half. Tuesday night at home, winnable game on paper, an injury depleted (supposedly) opposition with a low ish away following. It’s going to be a repeat of Cheltenham and Morecambe at home last season.
2 - 1 to Lincoln. Okenabirhie from the spot for a late consolation.

I think this and the Fa cup on Saturday are massive. Win both and all will be positive, lose both and I think the crowd turn. I can’t see how things can continue if we lose and Bonner is seen to be repeating the same approach with the same players with the same outcome.

Bennett Bennett Morrison Andrew
Cousins Thomas
Kaikai Lankester Brophy
Ahadme
Would be my guess. Maybe Okenabirhie in place of Lankester and more of a 4-1-3-2/4-4-2.

We did but despite the early goal we were crap and i remember Morecambe somehow missing a sitter straight after they equalised in 1st half injury time. And Morecambe had lost something like their last 8 away games. Suppose it was an important point come the end of the season though…

I don't think we were crap in that game personally: created a fair few chances that we didn't take, but we were certainly a lot more open than we ought to have been against a team on the run they were on, and yes we absolutely got away with them missing a sitter. It was far from the worst performance in that season though.

Seem to recall we should have been comfortably 3 up by the time they equalised so you could argue again first half good (well 40 mins), second half bad.
I'm busting a gut to get to this one from picking up kids from an after school club. Should just make it before kickoff, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to watch on iFollow instead though.
Hoping for a tight defence at home again whilst actually managing to score, 1-0 Cambridge.

Yeah, I'd still back our defence to be tight and well organised even after capitulations and debacles in the last few games.
Less confidence we'll be able to pull a hat out of the bag in attack but we'll see I suppose. Let's at least show some character.
I'll go 1-0, but possibly not a 1-0 that gives (m)anyone great optimism

"We're not a play off team or squad... so we're not going to be there"
Wish he'd told us that in August and early Sept when we were towards the top of the league. I wouldn't have bothered getting my hopes up.

The more I think about that... the more it annoys me (unsurprisingly, sure).
I mean - did anyone expect us to get to the play-offs before the season started? No. But we started so well and were in or around the play-offs for the first 5 or 6 weeks of the season. And unlike the start of last season, we were playing really well and thoroughly deserved it. So was that the blip?! Was that the anomaly? And what about Stevenage - does Steve Evans say to his players that realistically they're a lower bottom half team? I bet he doesn't. I bet he's pushing them every game to give it everything and not give two hoots about the size of the opposition club.
