I can't believe nobody has mentioned Joey Barton.... I'd take temporary leave if it were to happen...

Have to say, I hope we’re not starting this process completely cold.
If we’ve sacked Bonner this early in the season, while being outside the relegation zone, and we’re not doing so with a clear plan of who’s next then that is proper tinpot. There’d be no need to put ourselves in that position.
Would be pretty inexcusable to go out and say:
“Hey look, Ainsworth, Taylor, Harris and Cowley are free, let’s get one of them”
And then we’ve not even sussed out the likelihood of any of them joining.
FWIW, if we can convince Ainsworth I think that’s a good appointment. Likewise with Taylor.
Cowley or Harris I’m potentially open to. Maybe Dean Holden too.
Wild is an interesting one. Can we afford to do that though? Would he leave given they’re going well and we’re not? It’s possible but possibly not easy.
I think Rowett is a pipe dream. Be very stunned if he joined us.

What's Graham Potter up to at the moment? Could do a job. Really hope the club would tear up and burn any application from Barton. Graham Potter.More chance of getting Harry Potter

Suspect that's more a product of geography rather than anything else.

Suspect that's more a product of geography rather than anything else. I Know its a random list that they roll out whenever a lower league guy gets the chop.

What's the profile we're looking for do we think? So far the likes of Ainsworth, Rowett, Wild, Harris, Rowley are all pretty similar aren't they..? and perhaps not too dissimilar from what Bonbon had done/was trying to do.
Barton would never be appointed here. I think Paul Barry values the reputation of this club above a lot of things and the list of things Barton has done or been accused of (abusing a youth team players, hitting his wife etc) plus the nasty salty personality would see him nowhere near the club.
I value the club's reputation above a lot of things anyway. Maybe I'm confusing Paul with me.

Yeah wondering this myself. I think we're probably going to want to recruit to more of a "values" framework than any type of particular tactical or style one. You'd think, given our aim as a club to become sustainable, that someone with a strong track record in developing and blooding youth players would be a crucial criterion for us. That brings the likes of Taylor & Holden into play.

Tommy Widdrington might be in frame? Not sure how good he is but he's doing well at Aldershot this year and was Kings Lynn before. God no. Twice I've witnessed his antics in the dugout when KL were playing at Farsley and he is a horrible man. Laughing at genuinely injured players, belittling part-time players for their achievements in the game and horrid treatment of officials that would make Steve Evans blush.

Yeah Widdrington's a sponge.
